Hi Everybody!
Today I have an A3 mixed media piece to share. The background was a brush-wipe page to which I added some scraps of book paper etc that were flying about on my workdesk. I'm not sure if the lady is wearing a scarf of if it's her hair, you'll have to ask her. I stenciled and painted some dots and stars, as well as the quote, and painted the swallows with black paint. I am linking to Neet's fur or feathers challenge at AJJ. Sorry that some pics are fuzzy, blame my fuzzy fingers:
And for Wendy's roses challenge at Tag Tuesday I have another tag, using some Victorian scraps:

DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you are doing well ☺️ Love your beautiful art, as always. I need to go shopping today, there's nothing more in the house 🏠. Have a good day, take care, hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, have fun shopping! I know what mounds of food you need for the family! Hugs
DeleteGood morning, Valerie! Well, I think she's wearing a rather glamorous pink shower cap.! I am just starting to work up to larger sized pieces of paper for my art. I've been doing a lot on A5. but my last piece, which Ihaven't shared yet on Blogger is slightly bigger than A4. I love your sunset or sunrise photos. Hugs Deb.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Deb! Oooops, it's already afternoon. Where did the time go? Love the idea of a shower cap!. I always work in A3, I think it's my size! Hugs!
DeleteLovely page and tag Valerie, great photos and posters. Hope you are well, hugs Wendy.
ReplyDeleteThnks Wendy, hope you are feeling well! Hugs!
DeleteThanks, not Thnks!
DeleteYour page is exquisitely enhanced, Valerie, by having birds flying around. As for whether she is wearing a head covering or not, I think she is. A very appealing one too. I chuckled at the fashion image of the twenties with the girls in their jeans in which two thirds is missing! It is a mystery to me why they pay good money for such clothing or think they look good in it. I am sure they pay more for less material and the manufacturers and retailers rake in the profits. I will be leading my regular Tuesday morning birding group this morning and I will make sure that all my clothing is intact! Your sunrises continue to be spectacular and I applaud you for being awake to see them. I will be able to tell people, with a straight face, that I saw the sun rise over the Rhine this morning. Take good care. Stay well. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteHi David! I am always astonished by what people pay for 'destroyed' look, I can not imagine running around like that. My jeans are sometimes a bit tatty, through long wear, but never in tatters. Have fun with your Tuesday birding group, and glad you liked my 'swallows' flying around. I love the sunrise, it's always so beautiful, made even better by my cup of coffee. Please send a photo to prove that you went birding with intact clothing! Have a great day, BIG hugs, Valerie
DeleteAs it happened we had to cancel due to rain. It is much needed, however, so it was a good reason not to be able to go.

DeleteBeautiful art pieces. What a difference between 1950 and 2020. I don't understand why someone who spend money on torn jeans.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a scarf in memory of the Queen :)
ReplyDeleteTorn jeans are not my look, but neither is the tight-waisted full-skirted dress. I'm finding a happy medium ;)
That could be, she loved her headscarves! Have a great day 😊😊
DeleteWhat a pretty face and pretty pink hair! Love that woman. That's a cute pic of the Queen as a rock star and with her handbag, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks 🙏🙏 I like that pic of the Queen 👑💖👑 too!
DeleteI absolutely adore you latest entry for AJJ. I would love to be the dreamer. You have lots of birds in your entry, which are certainly hard to miss. Thanks for this great entry using Neet's theme at AJJ.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Queen. She truly WAS a rock star!
Thanks Elizabeth, the Queen really did rock!
DeleteI twice tried to leave a comment on this post while on Yellowstone but it would t go through. Sorry to be late. I am loving the magic of this piece. And nice tag too. Sadly I will be missing this challenge. Hope all is well and you have a great weekend. Hugs Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika! Jellystone is perhaps still in the time of the Flintstones!
DeleteLove the swallows on the first piece and what you call Victorian scraps, they look like my old Bookmarks. We used to play with them as kids. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, we did, too! Have a great weekend!
DeleteI love your tag Valerie, those scraps are lovely and so vintage. I set to and did a tidy up of my craft space and I actually found some of my scraps that I forgot I had, surprising what we find in the depths of our craft room, lol.xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra. I found a whole box of scraps recently in my bottomless pit aka closet! have a great weekend!
