New Challenge at TIOT and....

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Try It On Tuesday - TIOT-and the theme this time is animals. They can be real or imaginary ones, and projects of all formats are allowed and welcome.  As usual you have 2 weeks to link to our blog. I am also linking to Neet's challenge at AJJ, as elephants are hairy and have fur in their ears. I made another elephant, this time a hippie elephant surrounded by flowers, and singing, 'If you are going to San Francisco....'

And this wonderful photo fits well:

Today we are also starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely Wendy is hosting and roses is her theme. She has made some lovely examples on our blog. I made a hybrid piece, put together using photos,
 and painted backgrounds, digitally combined:

And some thinkies- funnies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. I am loving your hippie Elephant Valerie. And I'm happy to see you back at TIOT. This lady is the perfect example for the new challenge. And I am loving that tag. Roses is a great challenge. I'm not sure I'll be home long enough to make any tags for it, but maybe. Have a great Tuesday! hugs-Erika

  9. I can see that once again you have been munching on magic mushrooms, Valerie! How else could you come up with this psychedelic elephant? What a vision! I shall have to check the list of Timothy Leary's dedicated entourage and I am quite sure I will find your name. Maybe old pictures need to be scrutinized carefully so that I can find your image. What a life you have lived! It's little wonder that you are able to find so many rare species of birds, all phantasmagorical and brilliantly hued. Your powers of observation obviously are enhanced in countless ways. You are the Sage of Balconia, the Guru of Germany, the Devotee of the Different! Your tag is quite lovely too, although not on the scale of shimmering, lumbering elephants. That is hard to top! I shall be leading a small group of birders this morning and I will be straining to find them something comparable. Doubtless my search is doomed to failure! Have a lovely Tuesday. Hugs and kisses - David

    1. Now wouldn't that be nice! I don't need mushrooms, I'm naturally crazy! I just have fun making silly things! And you seem to have fun writing extraordinary things about my creations! I was out and about with Heike all morning, and we went for a delcious meal, yummy! Now I need to have a snooze and sleep it all off! Have fun with your birders, and if ou do happen to find a psychadelic elephant in the woods, please take a photo! BIG hugs, Valerie

  20. Another wonderful elephant from your brush and this time a hippie one. I loved the song and always wanted to wear flowers in my hair. If I could choose a time to go back to I would have to be a flower child, but not a smoking dope one. I would ride all over town on a magnificent elephant like the one on your journal page and I would be dressed as colourful as he is and we would make our grand entrance everywhere.
Oops, sorry Valerie, you caught me dreaming, I love your elephant and the sentiment so much. Thanks for joining in with my theme at AJJ..
I hope you are having a lovely week
    Hugs, Neet xx
