Hi Everybody!
This has been a busy week and I'm happy it's weekend. Yesterday I actually did some of the dreaded, but necessary housew**k, and even cleared my work table and side table. I can see the wood of the table again, always a nice surprise!
For Tag Tuesday, my 'down on the farm' challenge, I have a last tag, this time with flowers and plants. The new challenge starts next week, so you still have a couple of days to join in:
And some photos from my walks, and from a visit to Süd Park to visit the animals again, fitting to the down on the farm theme:
Really wonderful post. I don't know how you create so much art, and walk to take photos and everything else you do. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole. I leave out things like housew**k!
DeleteLovely tag Valerie, love the gumboots and watering can. Always enjoy a visit to the farm animals, the goats are curious characters arent they. Lovely sky photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks. My faves are always goats, pigs and roosters, always entertaining. Have a great day!
DeleteOh wow, that tag is a really pretty one! Your page is a really cool one too. You know I love seeing everything from your walks as well. The animals are all adorable and such really gorgeous sky shots too! Have a fantastic weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. Have a great day, take care!
DeleteAlso have I ever mentioned that I love how you change everything up on you blog with each post? Very cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again, I like to have everything matching! Stay safe!
DeleteNice tag and thanks for the reminder that down on the farm isn't always about the animals. I like the dream page for AJJ. It is really magical. The clock on the butterfly is fantastic, and those little houses cut out of various materials look great. I love the farm animal photos too. Those pigs are so cute lazing in the sun. Hope you good with the housework for a bit. I think I need to do some this weekend. Enjoy yours. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. I thought about that because I always get my potatoes from the farm down the road, a lot had produce on sale these days. I've done my housew**k for the next week!
DeleteGorgeous pics of the animals and awesome pages. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie, stay safe!
DeleteYour friends at Sud Park make me smile. Especially the sheep. I would love some wonderful green wellies like those boots in your first piece. They're very happy!
ReplyDeleteThey have such nice animals there. And yes, those wellies are good. Mine are black and pink! Have a nice day!
DeleteBeautiful tag and page. Enjoyed the farm photos today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine. Have a great day, stay safe!
DeleteGood morning Val! Lovely journal page and tag, so pretty, as always. Take care, and have a wonderful day, and take it easy for a change! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah,Have a good day, enjoy the family visit! Hugs to all!
DeleteHi Valerie what lovely pics ,looks like you enjoyed your walk through the park. Love your tag and wow your media page is awesome love the happy bright colours xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheryl, have a wonderful weekend, stay well and safe!
DeleteYour tag is wonderful. I love how you colored the boots/waders. Not sure what you call them in your country. It was great to see something besides the animals in this tag.
ReplyDeleteI love your very unique mixed media entry for Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey. It was so different and beautifully abstract, too. The collaged portion was perfect and the butterfly with its 3-D element was perfect, too.
Those little pigs are adorable. They are genuinely sweet and adorable, but the lambs are so cuddly looking. I'm loving seeing farm animals because I'm a city girl. Don't work too hard. Now that your table is clean, you can get it messy again soon. Stay safe, too, please.
Here in Germany they are Gummi Stiefeln, in England Wellington boots, or more often 'wellies'. I love farm animals, too. I grew up in London, near the docks, but lots of people had animals in their back yards, however small, such as chickens, goats and sheep, and one lady always had a couple of pigs. It was fun! Have a good day!
DeleteI think your tag is my favourite yet. As someone who loves her gardening, it speaks to my heart. Love the wellie boots, lavender plant, and watering can so much. Have a great weekend, hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, as a gardening girl this will be right up your street. Or should I say garden path? Have a wonderful weekend, take care, hugs, Valerie
Lieben Gruss Elke
Vielen Dank, liebe Elke. Ja, das Wetter ist sehr angenehm. Dir ein schönes Wochenende, pass gut auf dich auf!
DeleteBeautiful tags, love the garden wellies tag and the colors on the vibrant butterfly tag. Beautiful photos too. Why does housew**k (love that) have to interfere with art...it’s a real tug of war.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nan. That Is the million dollar question. I don't know why, it just DOES! For me it's really a swear word, and as a Lady I try to avoid such things! Have a great weekend!
DeleteYou did housework? Okay, lie down and let me take your pulse. This may be a very serious condition requiring immediate attention. Hopefully it is a mild case of houseworkitis, and not a serious attack which is known to alter one's entire demeanour. I suspect that you are of the right stuff, Valerie, and will be able to fight off this potentially dire condition. Failure to do so may mean that you walk around with the vacuum cleaner nozzle in one hand and a duster in the other for the rest of your life. It can be a serious impediment to drinking coffee, and I would imagine that it would impact on crafting in a major way. Your whimsical output today is, by the way, delightful, enchanting even, captivating, with butterflies flitting hither and yon. Perhaps a little more hither than yon, but such conclusions are probably subjective at best. The crows look very wise, as of course they are, and the goats are both goofy and appealing. Just make sure you don't have food in your pocket when you are in close proximity, otherwise your pants may be ventilated in places where you don't want them to be. The weekend is here. Relax and enjoy. And - listen carefully - no more freakin' housew**k! Hugs and kisses from across the waves. David
ReplyDeleteHi David! Yes, I did. When I start to leave footprints on the floor I know I must do it, but don't worry, it will never get to be a habit with me! I always love goats and their tricks. They sell little bags of food there. One of them watched me getting a bag, and then ran across to smile at me as quickly as possible! I've been busy walking, drinking coffee and crafting today, so back to my normal activities. I hope you enjoyed your walk with Lily and Heather. Have a great day, stay safe! Hugs to you both!
DeleteBeautiful art Valerie, and I lovely all the animals! Reminds me of the animal rescue where I volunteered before this flipping pandemic. I'd be back there now if I didn't have a health condition :-(
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely weekend,
Alison xx
Thanks Alison, animals are often the best people! Hope you can get back there some time.
DeleteLoving your journal page with all the butterflies especially the clock and the die cut 3D houses with all the different papers behind them - stunning! Lovely photos too but it's those skies that mesmerise me everytime - gorgeous 😁. Thanks so much for playing along at Art Journal Journey and Happy weekend! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! I had fun making it. The skies have been amazing these past weeks. Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteBeautiful tag and your page is so dreamy. Wonderful photos of all the animals, but the photo of the bunnies cuddling and snoozing together made me go Awwww. You also have the best sky photos, too. Enjoy the weekend.
