Hi Everybody!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I have been enjoying being lazy and resting, listening to audio books and crafting, and it was very enjoyable!
For my 'down on the Farm' challenge at Tag Tuesday I have another tag, using a mixed media journal page made many years back. I made it into a tag in my graphics programme and added the mini tag with the sentiment. Hope to see more people joining in the challenge:
And for Jo's texture challenge at AJJ I have another A3 mixed media piece on a textured background:
This evening will also be time for Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday Challenge. I saw this coffee-cup garbage-bin at a petrol station - it was bigger than I am, but unfortunately not filled with coffee:
And I have a few photos from my walk last Wednesday, which also led to a delicious coffee break:
My feet enjoyed a rest here as always:
Leaves are starting to fall:
As I turned the corner from the Rhine into Market Street I saw the Wednesday market, and this wonderful coffee-van - Yesssssssssssssssssssssss!
The friendly service craft kept everything clean and disinfected:
It was good to sit here, enjoy cappuccino and watch the ships go by at the end of the road:
My drink was served with a small slice of a sweet brioche and was very enjoyable:
Later in the day I had an appointment in Düsseldorf. There are huge screens with ads etc in the subway - this one is for coffee-pod machines:
And this is a survey asking if everybody should be obliged to wear masks at work - I would say yes, unless they are in an office all alone:
That's all for today!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I love your art, the tag is so cute! I would love to see the sights where you walk and have coffee outside at that cute little place too! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha! It is pretty here, always something to see. Have a great week!
DeleteYour ducks on your tag are adorable. And all those happy animals on your journal page are adorable too. The monkeys are fun, and the giraffe is my favorite. I love that face poking out over the bed of flowers. That truck is a classic and very interesting. It must be easy spot for your coffee break on your walk. And the giant coffee mug trash bin is a great idea. I hope you have a great T day and also a great start to your new week. hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, have a lovely week, hugs to all!
DeleteSimply Love your giraffe. The coffee van has stolen my heart! How cute is that, and all good walks should involve coffee or tea. Have a great week, and stay safe. Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, sometimes I just need to do something fun and silly! The coffee van is really sweet, I will be the first customer again on Wednesday morning!
DeleteT also stands for talent, my dear, of which you are blessed with an abundance! How you continue to come up with creations for these various challenges is beyond the comprehension of dullards like me. I can see why rounding the corner to be greeted by that coffee truck made you heart soar. It really is pleasant to sit outdoors on a bright sunny day and enjoy a coffee. I swear that fresh air imbues it with a special ambrosia. As for wearing masks, unless you are working alone, I think it is something we all need to get used to - like putting on socks. This pandemic is not going to loosen its grip on us any time soon and the more quickly we learn to deal with it sensibly the better it will be for everyone. A whole new week is opening up, Valerie. Be sure to enjoy it. Hugs from Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks David! I wish I had some talent for housework, too. I don't seem to have a tidy gene! That coffee van was really wonderful to see, and the coffee was so good - and half the price of the place at the other end of the street, where the coffee was so thin and pale! And yes, we need to deal with this pandemic, not stick our heads under a haystack like some politicians! Have a great week, I'm off now for another little walk! Hugs to you both!
DeleteLoved all the art work images.. So cutely done VJ
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashok! Have a great week!

DeleteValerie your post today brought such happiness to me. I love love love that coffee van. To see the owner out there cleaning the tables. So committed. It is very different here in the US. Anyway, where I live. Your ducklings are so cute but I love the monkeys. I am so glad you are waling and showing the beautiful place you live. Have a great Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole! The owner of the coffee van takes a great price in his work. Monkeys are always fun, I love them. You have a good and safe week.

DeleteI will have another attempt at a tag - number one was so awful I ripped it in half! I love yours and I really love that happy journal page! I can imagine seeing the coffee wagon really did make you happy! Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteIt did indeed! Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, he was there again today, so nice!
DeleteI'm not sure you will see this comment, Valerie, but I'm trying to catch up a quickly as possible. I LOVE the tag you created. Those ducks are so cute and cleverly done. I promise I am PLAYING this time at Tag Tuesday. It's all ready to go, too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely journal page for Jo's theme. It is fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey. Those monkeys are so cute and I really want a brayer that makes such clever textures like yours does.
That's one big coffee take out trash can. Cleverly done, too. I also LOVE the coffee wagon. It looked so lovely and the view was awesome. It was nice you got a piece of brioche in addition to the cookie you got, too. And lavender on the table must have sent your senses going strong. Thanks for sharing the trash container, your cappuccino, and the coffee wagon with us for T this week.
I agree that we should all be wearing masks when we are inside, but I also believe we must wear them any time we go out and about. We have so many deaths in the states, it's unsafe to be out without one. I even wear one when I'm working in my yard. This virus scares me to tears. Stay safe and well, dear. I'll try to make it by to see what else I've missed, too.
This virus is really scary, and better safe than sorry. So many people are just careless and ignorant. I always see my comments, as I leave the comments page open next to the blog page. It's important as some spammers try to put their nasties on past posts. This way, the last comment is always at the top of the page and visible.
DeleteWOW, Valerie. I never thought of that! What a clever idea. Now I must find my comments page (grin).
DeleteYou will find it! It's called 'COMMENTS'!! Do you need a map? Google have lots of maps!
DeleteAwesome and happy to look at art pages Valerie, I am as always catching up these days. but it does help to spend time seeing what my blog friends have been creating.
ReplyDeleteStay safe.
Yvonne xx
Thanks Yvonne. Take care of yourself. Hugs!

ReplyDeleteYou actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward to your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
