Hi Everybody!
The weather here has cooled down for the time being, for which I am very thankful. I hope my apartment soon cools down, too, it's hard to get rid of the heat in here, but I'm hopeful! This week should be 'normal' summer, so that sounds good. We are still waiting for rain here, though. We had a sprinkling yesterday, but it didn't even wet the ground, so am hoping for the rain 'they' keep promising!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely Joan is hosting. Her theme is summer fun, and she has some lovely examples on our blog. Hope you feel inspired to join in! I have a summer tag, I've evidently been dreaming of being able to fly away like a bird and find somewhere cool and refreshing....I made a hybrid tag using my photos and some elements from Serif on a hand-painted background:

ReplyDeleteI'm glad your weather cooled down. Mine heated up again, and will remain hot for the rest of the week. I like your Summer tag. Your cappuccinos always look delicious. (Teddy said to tell you he is envious. ;-) That veggie fried onion roll sounds great. I like your new car. ;-) The store front windows have a nice assortment of goods in them. Your salad looks like the perfect cool meal to eat when it's hot. I think this is the first time I noticed the Black Swan has a leg band on. I'm glad they're keeping track of them. Was that the lettuce lady by the water? Happy T-Day! (I forgot to write that, so I deleted my post to add it in.)
ReplyDeleteTomorrow it will be warming up again, but not as hot as last week. The swans and some of the other waterfowl are banded.

Cooler weather here as well and very welcome after the heat. Great photos Valerie, the water birds are lovely to see and I think that car looks amazing , I bet the owners spent hours on the paintwork.

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your walks. They are fun and even better when you include the black swans. Your new car is quite impressive (wink, wink). Some of those shops are great. I know those sandals are all the rage, and I've seen several people wearing ones similar to what are in that store, but I personally think many of them are ugly.
When was the last time we in the states saw a table, even one outdoors, that had an ashtray on it? What a novelty. Smoking is really forbidden even in outside restaurants here. I have to admit the ashtrays are quite colorful. I also like your colorful mugs, especially the ones with the multicolored glazes.

Smoking here is only allowed outside. I don't smoke so I can sit where I want. My visitors have to smoke on the balcony as there are smoke alarms in every room.

You were cool and we were hot, and then it switched, and now it's switched back again and we are in the heat. What a crazy summer! Summer fun a great challenge and I love the beach theme of your tag. And your salad looks very yummy and healthy. I am also eating a lot of salads and fruit now it is summer. It's usually the only thing I can stomach when it is so hot. Is that lots of grated cheese on your salad? Those berries (the red ones) take me back to childhood. We used to eat those a lot, and we would get a little branch each and we would take the berries off by pulling it through our fork.

Oh my goodness, I love this walkabout as I see the traditional german style buildings and it just makes me long for 'home' - love your walk about and the gorgeous tag! It definitely feels like summer - and the bookstore window with the beach display is so fun!
