Hi Everybody!
Hope your weekend went well! I did a lot of walking. The weather was cool and cloudy, but I loved it. We did get a little rain, but not as much as is necessary, so I'm hoping for more, as the ground is dry and parched.
On Tuesday we are beginning a new challenge at Tag Tuesday
Our lovely Wendy is hosting, and has chosen 'Circles' as her theme. She made some beautiful tags for inspiration, which you can see on our blog when it goes live Monday evening. Hope to see YOU joining in. Thanks to all who joined us last time! I used an image from Gecko Gals placed on a hand-painted background. The quote is from John Hartford:
Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday linky party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang. And it is also the 6th birthday of Elizabeth's event, so happy birthday from me!
My drink was cappuccino, once again, and sometimes accompanied by ice or other food:
My drink was cappuccino, once again, and sometimes accompanied by ice or other food:
I did lots of walking as always, which makes me thirsty and hungry. I always take a bottle of water with me, but I need something more substantial in between.
Here is a selection of photos from the past week.
The young Nile geese have grown enormously:
Mother goose keeping her beady eye on me:
More window photos:
Fun murals:
An armless model:
Water-fowl in Hofgarten. Elizabeth asked about the nesting black swans. They got moved to the 'bird house' in the park to keep them safe, when I know more I will inform you:
We saw a 42 yesterday for the hitchhikers:
Peaceful evening scenes:
A busy bee:
Love this statue:
The ancient 'Heiligenhäuschen' (Little holy house) in Oberkassel. It really is a very tiny chapel, about 2 yards wide and 2 1/2 long:
Colourful graffiti:
That's enough for today! Have a great week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Beautiful graffiti. The small chapel is unusual. I wish you a nice day.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lucyna!
DeleteLoads of color in your world today. I really love your tag. Marvelous colors, shapes and movement! And loving those colorful scarves in the "walking" photos! All good. (Pretty buildings, too!)
ReplyDeleteI want some of the delicious-looking bread and some cheesecake with my coffee, too :) I wish blogger did food deliveries ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your nature photography. The 42 address would be a definite attraction for me if I were house-hunting. Wouldn't that be fun :) The public art really brightens up a place, doesn't it! What a lovely little chapel!
Happy T Day!
That bread was delicious, and filled with herb cream cheese and salad, yessssss! The cheesecake tastes great, too, and it's mf fave menu when I visit there.
DeleteHi Val, another wonderful post packed full of goodies. Love the beautiful photos, and the glimpses of you in the shop windows. The tag is great fun with those colourful eyes and circles. The graffiti is wonderful, too, so bright and cheerful. That tiny chapel is a treasure! I think you took me there once? Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI am off to the airport in less than 10 minutes, so this will be a bit brief today. Your tag is lovely, and fits your love of birds, too.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to read about the black swan family. Keeping them safe is important for their survival.
You found some great art, wonderful graffiti, beautiful sculptures, and incredible shots of your downtown area through windows. The armless lady was a bit scary, though. I so enjoyed seeing yet another view of your world and the 42 was so perfect, too.
Now it's time for T!! What amazing photos you shared of your cappuccino this week. I loved the one mug, the bread (sandwich?), the cheese cake (my personal favorite), and all the extra goodies you get when you go to the coffee shop. Your ice cream made me swoon. I am in LUST. Thanks beyond belief for sharing this with us for T this Tuesday, as well as your incredible and beautiful photos, and wonderful circle tag.
Your art is fantastic as usual and I love all of your photos today!!! I'm still not able to do a any walking for fun :( I can barely do the walking I need to to get from one place to another. Thanks for stopping by my blog and seeing the kids at play. I decided to go ahead and edit it and write a whole post on what's going on here this summer.

What a lovely post - your photos are always so interesting! Love the bird tag and the quote is just perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Your geese are so different from ours here. We have messy, boring grey and annoying Canada geese. UGH! POOP everywhere...I know TMI!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love the mug your coffee was served in. Beautiful!
Happy T day!

ReplyDeleteFabulous tag and quote. The ice cream with the waffle cookie looks so good. I really enjoyed the pictures from your walk especially the sun peeking through the trees. That shot is awesome. The armless model reminded me a a modern Venus de Milo. And of course, i loved seeing the 42. Happy T Day

ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
Oh yum, now I am hungry:) The dress looks incredible:)
ReplyDeleteLovely tag, Valerie. And the quote is so true. As a scientist I can confirm that.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos. Beautiful nature, delicious coffees and goodies, and those geese are wonderful. I also like the shops and the graffitti. I love urban art. The 42 had me puzzled. Of coure I googled it and found out it's the answer at the end of the Hitchiker's guide to the universe. I also learned that in programming, an asterisk is commonly used as a sort of "whatever you want it to be" symbol, I've heard it called a wildcard.
ASCII language, the original way that computers run, the most basic computer software, in it, 42 is the designation for asterisk. The GIANT COMPUTER was asked what the true meaning was. It answered as a computer would: 'Anything you want it to be'.
And of coure the asterisk is very appropriate for today's post.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Love your photographs! I like the armless models's dress; my favorite color. And the man statue (by the lamppost) looks like a real man! Are you pulling my leg? OK, I went back and looked again and I guess he looks real because of the angle of the photograph. I guess he is a waiter? Your food and lattes look yummy. Happy T Day!
