TGIF

Hi Everybody!

This has been a busy week, so I'm ready for the
weekend - TGIF!

For Tag Tuesday, Joan's lovely theme of Christmas memories,
I made a tag  with various scraps of paper from DCWV.
The 'lights' are red gemstones, and I used a red pearl-pen
for the red noses. As a kid I was always hoping to see a
real reindeer, especially one with a red nose,
but alas, it never happened!

Some early morning photos:

My balcony visitors - a flock of
hungry starlings:

Down by the Rhine:

Mr Heron, looking grumpy, as usual:

Bad hair day?

And a little robin I captured on my phone:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year.

  4. Your tag is so festive. Love the jewel lights. When I was a kid one of the big department stores faced an outdoor courtyard. At Christmas, they had a penned area in the courtyard where you could see Santa's reindeer. None of them had red noses. i love your speckled Starlings. Looks like they are covered in polka-dots. I think Mr. Heron is grumpy because he's cold. The light of the sunrise pictures is just gorgeous. I love the little robin. He looks a bit different from the ones here. Our robins have a black back and ruddy chest. Too cold for them to Winter here so they fly South. They are the harbingers of Spring and will be back in late March or early April.

  20. Your Christmas tag is fabulous. I love the "25" and the reindeer. Even the background screams Christmas. It is adorable.

The feathers and markings on those starlings are wonderful. I've never seen one up close that had such beautiful feather markings. They were wonderful to see up close and personal.
