Hi Everybody!
On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at TIOT-
🌟🌟Twinkle, Twinkle🌟🌟
where we would like to see stars, sparkles, glitter
or something shiny on your entry. As always, projects
of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to
link to us.
I made a large tag using some black, linen-weave
cardstock. The stars were stenciled, and I added a few
glass ones for extra sparkle. I tore silver paper into
strips and sewed them across the bottom to make
the snow, adding some star-dust stickles to the
layer. The trees were cut with a Hero-Arts die, and the
deer with a large punch. I gave them a thin coat
of stickles with some extra hologram glitter. The tag
was sewn onto a silver backing.
Tuesday is also time for Elizabeth's
Tea stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome
to all of the nice ladies of the T gang. I made a
caramelized pineapple upside-down cake last week
when some friends came over, and it was very delicious.
We sat together for several hours, and kept our strength
up not only with cake, but with a delicious veggie-salad
brought by G, tangerines for vitamins, and lovely
Spanish red-wine to wash it all down:
Help yourselves!
Cappuccino was my choice of drink again:
The weather at the weekend was cold, foggy, and frosty,
and on Sunday it snowed:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Love the stars. This time of year starry nights are the norm, (when it's not storming) with all the dark. And I love pineapple upside cake, so I will take a slice. :) Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me. And more gorgeous frosty photos. Too bad it means more bad weather is coming because they are very pretty views. :) Happy T day Valerie. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThe white deer, trees and stars on the black looks terrific, almost like icing on a black cake.
ReplyDeleteI do like the cold, foggy photos, there nothing quite like a good gloom.
The tag is breath-taking. What a beautiful Christmas card design it would make. The cake looks scrumptious and comforting on such a frosty day. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly lovely and sparkly tag. Simply perfect, too. I love the stars.
ReplyDeletePineapple upside down cake is one of my favorites. I might make one since you have me hungry for them. Yours looks so nice and moist, too.
You had snow all right. It got cold here overnight, but we've yet to get any moisture, not even rain. Your photos captured the fog and ice perfectly. They are beautiful, yet make me feel cold.
Thanks for sharing your lovely tag, your (as always beautiful photos) and your cake and cappuccino with us for T this Tuesday. I love how your napkins match your dinnerware. Such great attention to detail.
Gorgeous starry piece on beautiful cardstock. The cake looks delicious, sounds like a fun occasion. Winter has come early to your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI love your starry night Valerie! And of course I have salivated looking at your cake.

The tag is so serene. It feels like you could open your door and step into the night.
ReplyDeleteYou were the perfect hostess: veggie salad, pineapple upside-down cake--my mom used to make that--cappuccino and wine;) Sounds yumalicious.
