T stands for Snow

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday.
Our lovely Joan is hosting and has chosen
Christmas Memories as her theme.
As always, tags of all formats are welcome.
This time the challenge will be running for 3 weeks
instead of the usual 2, and the next one will start on
January 2nd 2018.

I made a simple tag, which reminds me of my
childhood. At school I loved singing carols,
and when we went singing to collect
money for charity we wore old fashioned
coats and bonnets, which inspired my
tag today. I used DP for the BG and the little
girl is vintage German scrap:

Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday
so I would like to welcome all the nice ladies of the T Gang.
My drink is, as always, cappuccino,
served today with lemon cake:

Yesterday we had a snow blizzard which lasted for
5 hours, so I had to stay home again. I took the photos
through the window:

Somebody didn't put the sunshade away!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. Hi Valerie. Love that german scrap girl. Beautiful snow photos. Believe it or not, it snowed here in Baytown, Texas (Houston area). On Dec. 8. Hurricane Harvey, then snow. Everyone was a little kid again, just what we collectively needed. xoxo

  5. Your tag is wonderful! It reminds me on my friendship book I had at school, where all my girlfriends wrote a little quote and added such pictures.
Your photo with the cappuccino, served with lemon cake, is very beautiful!
God thanks, we did not have such snow blizzards! But your little blue bird is so cute!
    Liebe Grüße, Rike

  6. Your little blue bird is so sweet – but he does look cold out in that blizzard.
I used to go carol singing with my sister and brother, but I’m afraid we didn’t do it for charity. I feel quite ashamed now, not that we ever made more than a few pennies (I don’t think we were very good!) Have a lovely day. xx

  10. Gorgeous vintage tag, love the little girl. We have had a foot of snow and can't get the cars out of the drive, as the drifts are so deep. Love your photos.

  11. Your lovely tag is so Victorian. So nostalgic and has me dreaming of simpler times. Your poor bluebird is freezing his little beak off. I'll skip the views from your window. I need the sunshine of your lemon tray and a slice or two of lemon cake wouldn't hurt. Have a Happy T Day! 190 days until the first day of Summer

  13. We are getting that snow today today at home, but here where I work by the coast it is raining, so I had a nasty drive in. Snow is much prettier to look at and not have to shovel and drive though I think. :) Love the tag today. That sounds like a good challenge. And you lemon cake looks delicious. You set a beautiful spot for us to enjoy a piece. I'll have my piece with tea. Happy T day Valerie. Hope your weather is better for walking. Hugs-Erika

  15. Oh, how charming - and yes, Christmas carol singing is a huge part of the festivities for me - it wouldn't be the same without plenty of Christmas music. And maybe for once we'll actually have a White Christmas round where we live - fingers crossed!

  21. I am in awe of your vintage German scrap. That really made the tag. It is awesome.

I was actually pleased to read that you stayed home where you were safe and warm. The photos of your patio show how much snow you got. That poor little blue birdie looks frozen out there.

LOVED the lemon cake. I am sure it is all gone now, but thanks for sharing it and your cappuccino with us for T this Tuesday. I really like that little cow in the background, too.
