Hi Everybody!
This has somehow been a very busy week, so I am happy that the weekend
is nearly here. I have been busy all week -and the week before - trying to tidy my stash and get organised, move furniture round, hang new curtains and pictures etc. I am planning to rest over the weekend!
For Art Journal Journey, things with wings and Paint Party Friday I have once again used my fave dragonfly stamp. The background was painted with acrylics onto textured water colour paper. The dragon flies and plants were stamped with archival black and embossed with fine EP. I added colour to the wings with twinkling H2Os and Stickles. The quote is from Harry Potter.
Today we visited a little neighbouring town, and this donkey, called Friedel, was right by the spot where we parked. There was a sign telling kids that he likes it when they climb on his back and ride him. No, I didn't try. Perhaps I would have done so if nobody had been looking!
Some more impressions from the town and the market:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
nice to see the town coming alive. Beautiful page you did today!

Erhol Dich gut übers Wochenende...

I thought of you when I saw all those plants!
DeleteMost beauteous page Valerie and with an excellent quote too!!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a town ornament that encourages children to play on it rather than the usual 'Keep Off'
Have a great weekend and rest well :o)) {{Hugs}}
This is gorgeous Valerie, I really like the watercolour paper background it give it a fab texture. Who would have thought that people would be quoting Harry Potter lol. Have a great weekend. Sue xx

ReplyDeleteA really lovely page Valerie with a nice spring theme. I love German market towns - they all have such gorgeous architecture.
ReplyDeleteThe dragonfly piece is perfect for the first day and spring. I always love seeing your photos too. Always so interesting to see other places and getting to be an armchair traveler. Happy Spring.
ReplyDeleteI just adore your dragonflies and seems they adore flowers- or at least the same one! ")
ReplyDeleteI scrolled through your photos and my heart lept when I saw the flats of Pansies at the market!! Oh for spring to arrive!! xo
Yes, the flower stall was really gorgeous.
DeleteIt certainly looks like Spring has come to the market! I enjoyed the look around, but poor Friedel looked lonely without someone on his back! Stunning dragonflies and another fab background to go along with them! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dragonfly art Valerie, winged creatures are such a great focal point! Love that photo of the bunny made out of straw, what a sight that must have been! hugs :)

ReplyDeletegorgeous art and that really is a great dragonfly stamp! I would've sat on the donkey-he looks pretty gentle:) Gorgeous town scenes-and those flowers-I can't wait to be planting some of my own(lamenting, as snow is falling outside my window).
ReplyDeletePoor you, I can imagine how much you are longing for spring.
DeleteLove the dragonfly page and the quote. Looks like a friendly and beautiful market place.
ReplyDeleteWow. Those dragonflies look so real. I love how they are all flying for the flower.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you are artistic with all the great inspiration all around you. What a lovely town.
Hugs & smiles,
Teresa
PS - If I were with you, we would have both ridden Friedel. :)
Your dragonflies are fantastic. You sure are a better stamper than I am. And I think the addition of color and sparkle to the wings makes for one gorgeous art piece. Also I loved the photos of the town. I cannot imagine a sign on the donkey that invited children to climb up. Unfortunately in America everything is now so sanitized with overprotection that the sign would read: danger, do not climb.
ReplyDeleteI'm all about dragonflies! Love the touch of green on their wings.
ReplyDeletegreat colorful and vibrant card! love the photos too, specially the one with that virgin!!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing them with us
