Leonardo. flight and dragonflies

Hi Everybody!

Another day has sped by, where does the time go?

Today I have another journal page to share for Art Journal Journey. The background is  a Leonardo da Vinci drawing from an old calendar page, lightly gessoed and colour-washed. I painted the flowers with water colours, and then stamped and embossed the dragonflies onto it.  Then I painted the dragonflies with twinkling H2Os and added some fairy dust for good measure. The quote from Da Vinci is one of my faves.
I am also linking to Simon Monday challenge, a touch of clover, Fashionable Stamping Challenges, colour between the lines, and Artist Trading Post, spring (mixed media)

I was woken early this morning by hailstones rattling against my window. The clouds and the sun  battled each other all day, but we did have another wonderful sunrise:

Here a plane has just taken off from the airport

I met the usual crowd down at the Rhine

And this little thrush was hopping about in the spring flowers:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

    1. Ich brauche nur auf dem Balkon zu gehen, oder aus dem Fenster zu schauen, ich habe einen schönen Blick nach Osten über die Felder und bis zum Flughafen.

Beautiful photographs with such rich colours. Let's hope that the weather is better today and the flowers come fully into bloom. Ours have been out a while and still look terrific.

  16. Not only do I love that quote, but I love how you used it in your art today. It amazes me how dimensional this piece looks even though I know it is not. Thanks for the Spring flowers--the only snowdrops I am seeing are the ones I bead, LOL. Another 4" today!
