Spring, hats and things with wings

Hi Everybody!

Today it's another double Tuesday with new challenges at Tag Tuesday and at Try it on Tuesday.

At Tag Tuesday our theme is 'spring is in the air'. I discovered some nice printed cardstock while cleaning and tidying my stash this past week, and have used it here for my tag. I inked the edges with DI Forest Moss, and threw on as much as I could find - flowers, leaves, die-cuts, ribbons a little metal bird and a sheep. For me spring has to be full of greens and delicate colours, so I have tried to use them here, as well as Stickles to add some sparkle.




At TIOT our theme is 'hats': I Recently read the quote about the woman's hat in an old novel from the beginning of the 20th century, and tried to show it in my journal page. The silhouette of the woman with hat is an image from Gecko Galz. I printed it out in A4, fussy cut it, and used it as a template, colouring round it with pan pastels. I then stamped all the small flowers I could find to make it into a garden, coloured them with gel-pens and twinkling H2Os, and added lots of winged creatures, which also got lots of Stickles. After a cold and frosty night, the sun rose in a hazy sky - just gorgeous. I love the delicate, muted colours.

    Wunderschön ist das frühlingshafte Tag Valerie... richtig prachtvoll und Dein Frühlingshut ist absolut bezaubernd!
    Da schickst Du mir also heute tatsächlich mit Deinem post den Frühlings ins Haus und hast es geschafft dass die Sonne jetzt wirklich seit zwei Minuten in mein Küchenfenster scheint!

    Wonderful photographs of the sunset Valerie the third one has so many hues I got lost in the beauty of it.

    You artwork today is wonderful and made Spring seem ever nearer. The sparkle on the wings adds so much to the piece. The tag and the fun additions is very special

    Hello Valerie, what a super-happy Spring tag with all the Spring-like images which fly round your table landing on the tag. I especially like the little lamb at the top.
    Also a fabulously coloured and decorated hat picture, brilliant floral artwork on the hat and all the colourful butterflies.
