New challenge at Art Journal Journey

Hi Everybody!

Happy Mayday, have a great new month!

Today we are starting  a new challenge at AJJ, and we have a lovely new host, Aimeslee Winans. Her blog is Paper paisleys Art Adventures , and her theme is

🌺🌻🌼flowers🌺🌻🌼

You can read why she chose this theme on our blog AJJ. And before I carry on, I want to thank our own Bleubeard and Elizabeth, who were responsible for our last challenge where we had fun recycling, repurposing and re-using.

For the flowers challenge I made a face surrounded by lots of flowers, and a little bird,  who flew onto the page and stayed there:

And I am sharing some photos from spring at Burg Linn, a castle on the other side of the Rhine:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. I am not sure what happened, but that published when I tried to delete a word. I was hoping to write she had a charming face and stunning hair filled with beautiful flowers. Thanks for this first entry using Aimeslee's theme at AJJ.

What a beautiful castle. Love the turrets and the gorgeous green grounds.

    🌸❤️🌸
    Hab einen wunderbaren Mai!
    Hugs, Traude 😘

  5. Good morning, Valerie, and Happy May Day to you too. I am sure you will be out today wearing your dirndl skirt dancing around the maypole. Be sure to have Heike take pictures! I love the little bird on the shoulder of your beautiful lady. She has retrieved the fig leaf of Donald Trump. It was actually oversize! A minute before she was laughing her head off. One has to wonder whether the dashing fraulein is going to San Francisco since she has flowers in her hair, but I suspect she prefers to stay right where she is in Germany. Speaking of Germany we had knackwurst for dinner last night - and very good they were too. I think your influence has somehow wafted over on the trade winds since I am suddenly eating German sausage. I swear the woman who served me looked like Heike! There are strange things afoot in this world. Our weekend weather was quite dreadful, with rain and cool temperatures. For my Saturday walk for the library only two people showed up, a father and son. The boy was eight years old and wants to be a palaeontologist. Now that's ambition for you. No fire truck for this kid! I will be conducting another outing for the local gardening club on Sunday, so I am hoping for better conditions and a bigger group. Have a great day today and every day. Hugs and kisses - David

    1. Sorry to disappoint you, David, but I am wearing jeans and sweatshirt as almost always. I have never had a dirndl, so can't dance in it. But there was a decorated maypole across the road from where Heike lives, somebody must have honoured his sweetheart this way - nice! Glad you are eating German sausages an enjoying them. It could be that some German vibes have transferred themselves to you.
We had lovely weather this morning and sat in the sunshine outside the ice parlous, and enjoyed waffles, coffee and icecream - yummy! Now it's grey and looks like rain, we shall see! Sorry only 2 came to your walk, but that little boy sounds good! Have a merry month of May! Hugs! xxxxxx

  6. What a lovely May nymph lady you have created for this new month Valerie. I think she's been doing her thing from your photos. It's so green. And you have lilacs. It looks so beautiful, as of course is your painting. I just love her. Happy May to you. I hope the month starts off well. hugs-Erika
