Hi Everybody!
Today I am linking to various challenges which I will list as I show them. The first is a hybrid collage made for Elizabeth's challenge at AJJ. The background was painted, Che Guevara was added with a stencil, and some stickers from various sets. The book paper lady was part of a journal page made many years ago, so I added a copy of her here. I added some filters and textures digitally;
Rain's TADD has the theme of cups, so I am showing some of the tea/ coffee paintings I made:
Nicole's Friday challenge is Friday Face Off, so I have various art pieces for her challenge:
And I am linking it all to Gillena's Friday Art Fun challenge.
Thanks to those who asked how I am doing.... I feel a bit better, but there's still room for (a lot of) improvement!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Oh, I love the tea cup paintings. Hope you're feeling better today than you did yesterday and even better tomorrow. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra, I hope so, too - thanks!
DeleteLovely page for AJJ, Rain's cups are amazing, love them and the faces for Nicole's Face Off
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, have a happy day!
DeleteI love the newest page for AJJ Valerie. I like the vintage poster look of it. And I enjoyed seeing and seeing again all the other art you're sharing today. It's like visiting an art museum without leaving my couch. Smile. Hope your week is going well. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Erika, much appreciated! Have a great day!
DeleteRight now we don't see many flowers now, it always nice to even see paints of flowers.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thanks Dora, have a great day!
DeleteValerie, I hope you are feeling well. Your first art piece is so powerful. I love all of your art. The cups are fabulous. That first piece for FFO took me back a bit. That woman looks like my mom when she was young. The dog is brilliant as is the crying eyes. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, glad you liked it all. How strange that that face resembles your mother. Have a great day!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you slept well! Love your journal page, very powerful. The cup painting and the faces are great. Another fabulous post! Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, hope you and the family are all fit and well. Glad you liked my post today, hugs to all!
DeleteGosh, you have got quite some variety of art today. I think my favourite individual piece is the Bloom and Grow lady. I would put that on my wall. The cups are lovely and bright too. It is so dismal here today that I need to see lovely and bright. Have a good weekend. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, it's dismal, wet and grey here too, and I have to go to the doctor today. The bloom and grow lady is hanging on a friend's wall, it was one of the pics I sold. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
DeletePiękne. Bardzo ładnie tworzysz.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, have a great day!
DeleteGorgeous artwork Valerie, I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better. I see poor old Bill Posters is being prosecuted again lol. Take care and have a fun week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteAs a kid I was always sorry for Bill Posters, I really thought that he was being looked for the police! Have a great day!
DeleteOMG What a serving up of fantastic art.!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday Valerie
much💛love
Thanks Gillena, glad you liked it, hugs!
DeleteValerie, I love that collage. I love the stencil of Che Guevara, it draws the eye in straight away and then everything else around it just feasts the eyes as you look about. This is going to be listed as one of my favourite pieces - the background, the book lady, the posters, so many things to name that are so cohesive to this work of art. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou did good girl with all those lovely tea related pictures and those faces, a real treat this morning but the first one is the one I am raving about.
Sorry there is still room for improvement in your health but I will continue with my good wishes for more each day.
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet, so glad you liked my collage, I enjoyed making it. Che was one of the heroes of my youth, and I had a poster of him in my room! Those were the days! Have a great day hugs!
DeleteLots of wonderful art to feast the eyes on Valerie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Thanks Alison, have a great day!
DeleteSo many challenges to respond to! It's a wonder you can keep track of them all. I bet that Che Guevara would be amused to think that he had been reduced to being a poster boy on a collage created by a woman of a certain age in Germany. He is still revered in Cuba as I have discovered on my visits, and like all legendary figures his reputation is enhanced with the passage of time. He was known to fire bullets and I think it is quite sad he could not fire a silver bullet to get you well, Valerie. Take good care of yourself. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDelete'Woman of a certain age'? David, what does that mean?! He was one of the heroes of my youth and I had a poster of him in my room. Today I create my own posters! He has certainly remained a legend for a long time! I hope you have great day with some nice walks and birds galore. Take care of yourself, BIG hugs!
Deleteso cute arts;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, take care!
DeleteWow, all those challenges. The journal page reminds me of a wall where there is graffiti and people put up handbills. I love the teacups especially the one with the bunny. So cute. Feel better
ReplyDeleteYs, so many challenges, I now have a list to keep me on track. My poster was inspired by all the posters in London when I was a kid, no wall was safe from bill posters and naughty kids who scribbled over everything with chalk!
DeleteI enjoyed seeing all your art! So vibrant!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra! Hugs!
DeleteAwesome art works Vj !

DeleteThe posterized version of Che always makes me think of the logo of Alaska Airlines. Strange thing, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to get better and better.

DeleteYour faces are beautiful Valerie and the cup art! So bright and colorful! I love the little bunny! ☺☺
ReplyDeleteThanks Rain, much appreciated!
DeleteI know the time and effort you put into your art is one way of distracting your mind from not feeling well, but it is also a positive way to find your way back to wellness. I hope in time you can look back on the times of not being well and be thankful that it is over. Your art is magnificent. I enjoy the perfect balance of your collage, but my favorites are your cups, teapots and flowers. So colorful and cheerful. I love the faces ... all of them, but especially the little dog who actually looks like he is smiling. Your painted ladies are also terrific ... oh to have such talent :) Rest, but not too much, breath deep and surround yourself with the things that bring you joy ... I hope that being well will be part of your daily life.
