Hi Everybody!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and that we will all have a good, new week! I am starting off my week with an A3 collage, meant for Elizabeth's Collage fodder / food challenge at AJJ.. The paper was already painted, and I used various mgazine cut outs, scraps and part of a journal page from Toni Burt, who gave us the page as a free gift in the LB taster sessions. I used random words to make a found poem. The bottle of champagne is my entry ticket for Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link meeting. And I would like to give a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang.
Hi Val, good morning! Hope you had a restful weekend, and I hope you have a good week. Hope you are starting to feel better again. Big hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, you have a wonderful week, too! Hugs to you all!

Indeed. It was a beautiful day at the lake! Have a great week!
DeleteThat background sparkles and shines. Your choice of collage fodder to create the focal image is wonderful. And of course, the champagne is the perfect addition, too. Thanks for sharing this incredible entry with us at AJJ using Bleubeard's and my theme.
ReplyDeleteI always love your take on coffee and coffee inspired art. This is wonderful. I even got a laugh at the men and bear at the bar. Thanks for such a great entry for T this week, dear. Before you have to ask, I will link you to T.
Your visit to Baldeney Lake was filled with the beauty of great autumn colors. The water was glistening and it looked like the perfect day to be at the lake. Thanks for these great photos.

DeleteBardzo ładne widoki. Smacznej kawy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Have a great week!
DeleteLovely collage, Valerie, with an assortment of interesting and artistically placed fodder. You must have a whole stash of items ready for this kind of challenge, things you have cut out of magazines, advertising flyers, postcards and so forth. I think you should do one with wine labels; there are so many interesting ones, cheese labels too. Then you could add glamorous people and have a wine and cheese party collage. And I am offering you this very creative idea for free; not a penny will I charge you for what is bound to become one of your great achievements. I will look forward to seeing the results very soon. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas, David, I might just try a page like that . I do have a big store of cut outs to choose from! Perhaps you could start collecting wine labels for me! And I am delighted that there are no charges for your services! Big hugs!
DeleteFun collage. I like how the ladies in their dresses look like bottles, too. Lovely outdoor photos. Looks like perfect weather days. Happy T Day

Thanks Chris. It's a nice place to visit when the sun 🌞 is shining 🌞
DeleteYour collage meant something to me so I enjoyed it more than ever. My mil had a bottle of champagne just like that. I wonder what happened to it? It certainly was a talking point when her middle son bought it for her. Love how you incorporated the ladies and the bottle in your picture.
ReplyDeleteI was struck by the lovely orange teacup and the backing page in one of your pictures and then realised it was the colour 'orange' that was making me feel happy when i scrolled further down and saw the beautiful scenes you captured on your camera.
Not a colour I use iln my work or dress yet when I see it it makes me feel happiness.
Hope you are feeling stronger Valerie.
Hug, Neet xx
Thanks Neet. Orange 🧡 is a warm colour, and I like it in art, but not as clothing. Orange and blue 💙 are wonderful together, and colour that make me feel happy 😊. Hugs!
DeleteA found poem! How I wish I had known about such a poetry form when I was teaching poetry to my students. I think they would have enjoyed creating them, and it would have been fascinating to see what they created. The colors in your collage are lovely. I'm laughing at the bear with a butt on his cap!!! Your sunny, sparkly photos make me wish I could be inside them right now!
