T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It was a strange but good feeling being at home on my own, and slowly I am getting used to it. I did some shopping on Friday to tide me over the weekend and today I will drive with my neighbour to Aldi to stock up for the week.  I managed a couple of nice walks, but have to take it slowly because of the atrial fibrillation which keeps rearing its ugly head.

Today I have a tag for Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday. You still have a week to enter the challenge:

And I also have a journal page, meant for Alison's 'Play it again,Sam' challenge at AJJ and for Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party which begins this evening:

This piece was inspired by Frank Sinatra's wonderful song, 'They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil'

And here I would like to give a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit here.

And now some photos of my walk on Saturday, through the fields, along the Rhine and then I landed at a cafe - what else?!

And some thinkies/funnies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  9. Good morning, Valerie: It no doubt feels quite strange to be home again after the hubbub of the clinic and now you are back to mundane chores like shopping and wondering what to cook for dinner. Last night we made fish, with potato wedges and cole slaw and there would have been more than enough for a third plate. We have leftovers - not quite enough for a dinner for two but more than enough for one. A slow careful walk in the park is better than no walk at all, so take it easy and keep doing it. It was twenty-six degrees here yesterday - unbelievable - and Miriam and I did a little birding in one of our local parks. One of Miriam's sisters is coming to have lunch with us and we'll probably go for a little walk too. Her husband has dementia and it is getting more and more difficult to deal with him, so any time she can get a break she relishes it. Take good care. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. Thanks David, it really is strange to be responsible for myself again, but I will manage! Your dinner sounds good, I would have enjoyed it! Glad you had a birding day with warm weather, that was good! Dementia is very hard on the families of the sufferers, am'm sure Miriam 's sister will enjoy having lunch with you. Take care, hugs!

  10. Great tag and art piece also Valerie. You must be so happy to be home. Take care of that A Fib with your heart though. Hopefully you can get it under control and not have to constantly deal with it. But good to know what it is and to be home. Hurrah! I hope you have a wonderful T day and enjoy all the beauty of spring around you. Wow, you are so far ahead of how it is here. Hugs-Erika

  22. What a fun tag. Love the dog and his bow tie. How sweet.

It was great you combined the AJJ page you created for Alison's theme with T this Tuesday. I have not heard that song or even of it. Nice you were able to use it for both themes.

You have some lovely photos. Your spring is at least two weeks ahead of mine. My irises won't be out until my tulips have died away for the year. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous art, your photos, and your coffee reference with us for T this Tuesday, dear Valerie. Cute funnies, too.

The cat is calling you to visit.

Great funnies. Love the bunny and the cat. The Elton John song is one of my favorites. It’s from the Tumbleweed Connection album. I practically know it by heart, I played it so much. The lyrics are written by Bernie Taupin.

  38. Very clever using your favourite beverage in your entry for Alison's theme at AJJ. A lovely looking piece too - I like the subtle use of colour on the page
Also love the little dog you opened your blog post with - a great tag, but I think the duck is the image that will stick in my head as it is so cute.
Sorry the AF is giving you problems. maybe a pacemaker like I have would help solve the problem, I forget I have one in but life has been so much better.
