T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Eveybody!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend, and I wish us all a safe and happy week. Today I have another journal page for Alison's 'play it again, Sam'  challenge at AJJ.  My page was made using a first day of issue envelope and stamps to honour Laurel and Hardy. I loved their films as a child. I placed the envelope onto a stenciled background. The pictures right and left were drawn by me and cut out:

This evening we will be starting a new chalenge at Tag Tuesday. Thanks to Wendy for hosting the last challenge and to all who joined in.  My theme is green and blue. You can use just one of the colours, or both. Other colours are okay but blue/green should be predominant. The image is from Gecko Galz:

And this evening we are also celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so  here  warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit.
I went to a cafe with a friend last week, and we enjoyed coffee (decaf for me!) and cake:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Hi Valerie, lovely art-your art is always so beautiful, I love the first one especially with the stamps.
Your cake looks so delicious, I have to drink decaf too-there are some good brands out there that you can't tell the difference in flavor.
Enjoyed the memes too-Happy new week and T hugs Kathy

  5. Your pieces are very appealing this morning, Valerie, and the peacock is an image to behold. I am happy to see that you were able to get out with a friend, and the cake you had looks delicious, marred only by decaf coffee instead of the real thing to give you that early morning jolt. I am touched by the worshippers at the Western Wall wearing Ukrainian flags as replacements for their prayer shawls. The butchery being inflicted by the Russian soldiers in retreat is sickening. War brutalizes everyone, I suppose. Ukraine is being slowly obliterated, its cities in ruin, and its people living in fear, fleeing, and in some cases being slaughtered like sacrificial lambs. We have seen these scenes from WWII, and never did we expect a repeat in 2022, with the same appeasement by the west of an obscene, psychotic dictator. We had hoped to visit Poland this year with friends, but that is off the table obviously. Thank goodness so many refugees have found safe haven there. Take good care of yourself and continue on the road to recovery. Hugs and kisses, David

    1. The decaf coffee is quite good, and considering what's happened in the Ukraine, it's not important. That people can be so barbaric again, just awful. I was so shocked and angry when I saw the news last evening, it's unbelievable. I think you would be wise to avoid Poland this year, not a good place to be just now, and it's great that so many refugees have found shelter there. Here is Germany many refugees have also been welcomed, those poor people. Putin is so evil. I should be able to go home in 2 weeks! Have a great day, hugs!

  6. Oh I like your Laurel and Hardy page. Cool that you have a first day issue envelope and stamp, and your figures are amazing. And I like your color choices, my favorites. And I think your sweet at the cafe looks way too yummy. And perfect with your decaf for T day. Are you missing your caffeine? And the latest photos from Ukraine made me cry. There will be nothing left, which I am sure is what Putin wants since he couldn't just walk in there and have people bowing at his feet. Have a great start to the new week, and happy T day to you also. Hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika. I found that envelope in a book I bought for I€ at the flea market, that was a bargain! We cried last night, too, while waching the photos of such butchery, so awful! Putin has flattened the Ukraine, he is so evil. Have a great week, hugs!

  14. Your images this week are wonderful, both the ones you created and the ones you found. As you say, the world is sickened by the atrocities that the Russians have inflicted. And the possible responses are all horrifying too.

  15. You have given us a really clever journal page for Alison's theme at AJJ. You drew Stan and Ollie beautifully. I love it. And your peacocks on the tag are stunning. Both of your art pieces are great today.

That cake reminded me of cherry cheesecake, something I have been wanting to make. I am sorry you must drink decaf coffee. I would have such severe headaches if you put me on decaf, I would have migraines for days. I hope the withdrawal isn't as bad for you.

I loved the memes, including the face with the coffee beans and the cats willing to pull the little boy up. However, I was really touched by the Jews at the Wailing Wall wearing the Ukrainian flag. Thanks for sharing these and your trip to the coffee shop with us for T this Tuesday. Yes, I will link you, dear.

  16. Laurel and Hardy bring back so many memories of my Grandparents. When my mother and I went shopping before Christmas we would call in to see my Grandparents on the way home and they nearly always had these two on the TV. The Peacock is beautiful and what a great day out, the cakes look scrummy. Loving the funnies too. Have a great week. Hugs, Angela xXx
