Hi Everybody!
I was out and about quite early today, as I needed to visit my doctor and hand over all of the reports from the clinic and collect a prescription. The weather was nice, so I was able to walk there and back leisurely. This afternoon it's cold and stormy, so I'm not going out again! Good weather to stay home and make art! This piece was made while I was still in the clinic. There's the text of a Frank Sinatra song on it again, 'Fly me to the moon, and let me live among the stars'. It's an A3 piece painted with acrlic paints and markers and with added glitter. I am linking to Alison's 'Play it again, Sam' challenge at AJJ. I will also be linking to Rain's Thursday Art Date tomorrow, her theme is branches and leaves. My lady has leaves in her hair and in the sky, and my photos all have leaves and branches:
nice post. I enjoyed all the memes, the photos from your walk and that beautiful art you did.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy, have a great day!
DeleteHi Valerie, that' nice you are close enough to walk to places, and you live in pretty area. Loving your latest art piece, great funnies-hugs

DeleteYour lady with the leaves in her hair is gorgeous. I've actually heard that song. It's a great entry for Alison's theme at AJJ.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of spring. I LOVE the flower boxes, They are beautiful and my favorite photos today.
Wow, a song you've heard! Okay, tere are lots of songs and singers I've never heard of either, I just remember the oldies! The flower boxes everywhere are sponsored by the shopkeepers to make the place attractive. Have a great dday, hugs!
DeleteHi Val, lovely post and great photos. Your new lady is beautiful in the middle of the stars and leaves. Glad you are doing well, but don't start overdoing thing, please! Here all is well. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, glad all is well with you! Have da great day, hugs to all!

DeleteA beautiful lady and a fabulous song! Love seeing your photos- I would find it hard to walk past that florist! Love the last funny especially! Have a lovely day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. Hope you are now feeling better. I just had my 2nd Covid booster. The florist is wonderful but very expensive. Have a great day, hugs!
DeleteIt seems quaint in a way, Valerie, that you walked over to the doctor and physically handed her the reports. I thought that these days all of this was done at the speed of light by internet connections. In the meantime, i have fallen in love with the lady with leaves intertwined in her hair, she of the luscious lips. I feel sad that I will have to tell Miriam that our time together is coming to an end as I contrive and scheme to have this beauty whisked over here for me. The fact that I am old enough to be her father has nothing to do with it. It didn't prevent the sincere and intellectual superior Melania from hooking up with the Golden Turnip, for true love, of course. His wealth and the rings worth the GDP of small countries had nothing to do with it. Your countryside looks verdant and very appealing. Our spring is mercurial to say the least. On Sunday we were wiping the sweat from our brows and this morning there is a slight dusting of snow. I will have to let Mother Nature know that it's almost May and to get her amusement some place else. Take good care of your self and stay well. Hugs and kisses, David
ReplyDeleteNormally the reports are sent with PDFs but we are always handed a paper copy of everything they have done, treated, meds, etc. I'm glad you like the new lady, I made her specially for you! But stay with Miriam, this one is very fickle! I can't imagine how anyone would ever want to be together with DT, not for all the money in the world! The weather here is also very changeable - hot, cold, stormy and today it's warm and sunny! This is Mother Nature's revenge for what mankind has done to the planet! Big hugs, Valerie
DeleteThis goddess is very dreamy. Oh, those window boxes! I wish I was talented at gardening to have spectacular window boxes as those!
ReplyDeleteYes, the flowers here are beautifully done, my boxes never look so good either!
DeleteLovely photos from your walk and another beautiful painting and song to inspire. I will be grinning for ages after seeing why the chicken crossed the road, it would be staggering quite a bit on its journey back over the road
ReplyDeleteYvonne xx
Thanks Yvonne, I loved the answer to the chicken riddle, too!
DeleteI hope the doc report was a good one! You were wise to come in and make art! I love what you shared, both art-wise and your fabulous walk photos! It must be so good to be home.

DeleteAh yes, I love your beautiful lady and I too would love to fly to the moon and live among the stars ... someplace that could be more peaceful than it is here on earth.
ReplyDeleteYou should tell David to be careful what he wishes for ... somebody might turn him into a cup of coffee :)
Your walks are beautiful and the flowers are amazing. And, I always love your choice of funnies. I sure hope everything is getting better for you. I know you are a strong person with wonderful talents. You deserve to be well and happy ...
Andrea @ From the Sol
Thanks Andrea, being among the stars would really be an experience. David as a cup of coffee?? Oh dear! I am getting better and stronger, but still need to take care. Hugs!
DeleteI hope that you are feeling much better and have benefitted from this latest stay at the clinic. Lovely photos from your walks for us to look at.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that your lady is so huge. I once did a workshop (online) where we had to draw a portrait of a geisha and that was on A3, it scared me so much that it remains unfinished in my craftroom.
Yours however is lovely and I do enjoy seeing how you incorporate leaves into the hair of some of your ladies. I also like the fact that you use blue quite a lot in your paintings, is that a favourite colour?
A delightful piece to illustrate a great song.
Take care
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet. I love painting larger pages, I always use A3 or A2 - even bigger! Blue is a wonderful colour, and I like it very much indeed. Have a great weekend, hugs!
DeleteYour lady is beautiful ~ and lovely photo walk with you ~ and fun quotes and photos ~ Xo
