Friday/Saturday post

Hi Everybody!

Today I met up with some friends in a Café in town here and we had ice coffees, and spent a nice couple of hours talking about this and that. It's great to have a catch-up from time to time!

Today I am sharing another one of my ladies inspired by Effy Wild, I love these ladies with big hair and lotS of leaves and flowers. This is an A3 piece painted with acrylics. It is inspired by the film  'Lady with red hair' (1940) starring Miriam Hopkins and Claude Rains, and is my last entry for Alisons 'Play it again, Sam' challenge at AJJ:

Some photos:

And some funnies / thinkies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. We must cherish the people around us and the moment we spent with them. Pretty flowers and birds. Yes, moms are the first seat belts and I was one of them. Lol!

  5. Good morning, Valerie: Just look at that wonderful, flowing red hair, streaming all the way to pleasure in the park! I am delighted to hear that you met up with friends for coffee and were able to meet together and chat just like old times. That's the kind of socialization you need to ease the transition from the companionship of the clinic to solitude at home. Today we will be having lunch with an old friend who we haven't seen since COVID fell upon us. It will be wonderful to see her again in person. She and I have been together in a few Zoom meetings, but it is hardly the same. Today will be a gigantic hug day! Somerset Maugham, one of the greatest authors of all time, was quite right. Good habits are much easier to give up than bad. Fortunately, I never had too many good habits, so it hasn't been a problem! The sun is shining brightly through the window, the goldfinches are chattering and a cardinal is singing from the top of the birch. All is well with the world! Big hugs and exuberant kisses, David

    1. Hi David, you're right, if you don't have good habits you can't gve them up! It's great to be able to meet up with people again, and sit in a cafe and see people all around. WE've missed this so much! Glad you are enjoying the sunshine. It was a bit cooler here today, but still very pleasant! I hope you enjoy your hug day, and I'm sending you lots of huge hugs. Enjoy the birdsong!
