Hi Everybody!
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe.
Today I am sharing a piece meant for Erika's 'my favourite things' challenge at AJJ and for Paint Party Friday. Blue, gold and green are always favourites, and circles, too. Here I painted the circles onto an A3 page with blue background. I added some stenciled stars and splodges and wrote quotes about circles with gold pen:
Today I am showing some of my favourite sky photos from last year:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

DeleteThis is a beautiful entry, Valerie. The colors are stunning and I love the abstract aspect, too. You can never go wrong with circles. Or gold! Thanks for another great entry using Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sky shots are the rainbow and the last photo.
Thanks E, I always love painting circles, it's so calming.

Lieben Gruss Elke
Danke, liebe Elke!. Klingt wie schlimmes Wetter da oben! Ich hoffe es geht dir gut! Pass auf dich auf!
DeleteGreat sky pics! Love the magpie, a favourite bird that always gets such bad press!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Deb
I love the magpies, too, such beautiful and clever birds! Stay safe!
DeleteOoh I love your painting, so full of life and colour, and your sky photos are amazing! Take care and have a great day, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, have a good and safe day!
DeleteA friend of mine just told me he has been having problems with floaters in his eyes. There is no retinal detachment but they have not gone away. Your circles put me in mind of that! Your shot of the moon is quite wonderful, Valerie. There always seems to be a degree of comfort and the realization of the oneness of humanity that we all look at the same moon. Even in the southern hemisphere when the sky is "upside down" the moon is there as a constant. Stay safe. Hugs from Canada. David
ReplyDeleteHi David! Those floaters are sometimes annoying but mostly harmless. Yes, it's a good thought that we all see the same moon and sun. 'The sun (moon) shines on the just and unjust'. It's cold and wet here, so getting ready for a set walk. Have a great day, stay safe! Hugs to you both!
Delete"Look on the bright side of life" terrific quote for a bright fun painting ~ Wonderful sky shots too! Blessings on your day ~ Love, Karen
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, we need to stay positive in spite of it all!
DeleteLove the stunning photos. Adore the colours you used on your creation, they work so well together. Have a great day. Hugs Anesha

DeleteHello gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIs this what our solar system looks like? It would be great!
A sky as pure as water bathed the stars and brought them out.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

DeleteGorgeous colors on your page. The circles look like planets. As always beautiful sky photos. That dark cloud was certainly hanging over the USA yesterday. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ. I was wAtching the news, it was so awful. Hope you will soon have blue skies again!
DeleteCircles are one of the best shapes, aren't they? I really like this page. Of course blue and green with a splash of metallic gold is a color combo that you can't go wrong with. And is that bird a magpie? We don't have them here where I live. I read this page last night but was too upset to comment. (I see CJ's comment right above). But it was worth coming back. Thanks for your support at AJJ. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. We are all shocked and appalled at what happened in Washington. So sad! The bird ist indeed a beautiful magpie. Stay safe!
