TGIF

 Hi Everybody!

It's Friday - this week has raced by again; so much to do and never enough time!

For Paint Party Friday and for Tracey's challenge at AJJ I painted a nature girl. I enjoy working with one basic colour:

I wonder what they are all looking at?

Our Christmas market this year is very small:

The pub/restaurant is only open for take-aways:

A lot of the shops have decorated nicely for the holidays:

We had one sunny day with blue skies this week:

My shadow showed me the way!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. One of your favorite shadow pics:)
I got a kick out of your painting because my sister in law just sent me a picture of herself wearing her new COVID mask that had antlers attached:) Maybe they're twins:) I especially like the eyes in your piece. They have life.
    Take special care.
    Hugs

  7. I love when you take photos of your shadow, Valerie. Very artistic! The little birds one the tree are posing for someone, I think. Ha ha! Great painting, my friend. I also love painting faces, but your girl is beautiful. Kisses!

  10. My, what long legs you have! lol
This morning, the Welsh government has told us our Fire Break in November has not worked and cases now continue to rise. Very worrying indeed.
Painting monochrome is challenging. I think you have done well with it.

  12. Nature Girl looks earthy, primal and seductive. She encompasses all the mysteries and wonders of nature in that lovely, enigmatic face. And just like her mother, Mother Nature of course, she can be pretty moody at times. Sometimes she will reward you with balmy breezes, warm sunshine, flowers and birds singing melodiously, but watch out if you get in her wrong side. She can shatter your equilibrium with a flood or a hurricane in the blink of an eye. I wonder what Father Nature looks like? We all know about Mother Nature, and since you have now revealed Girl Nature, Valerie, one assumes that Father Nature must be somewhere. After all, that is the very essence of nature, the birds and the bees and all that stuff. Or maybe it's another one of those immaculate conception fables. And that's no fun! Stay well today, stay calm. I am thinking of you. Hugs and kisses. David

  16. This is nicely done and timely. Oddly enough, it reminds me of a deer decoration I just put up that has antlers made out of tree branches.

  26. Nice post, painting, etc. We had to close our Senior Center for dining inside and are only serving pick up meals and will delivery It is so sad because we need support to stay alive through all this, just as everyone does.

  27. Your painting is beautiful and the girl is so adorable. I love her necklace. The sentiment is lovely, too. In fact, it includes part of my word of the year for next year. Thanks, too for making it especially for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

Loved the photos of the market and the store window. Christmas is definitely on its way.

  29. I love your nature girl. I like how you used one base color and how you painted her. She is great for Tracey's challenge. And I think everything this holiday season is going to be scaled down. But it is nice to have some decorations up to cheer up the home. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Valerie. Hugs-Erika
