Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend  enjoy!

Today I am sharing my last tag for my 'pets' challenge at Tag Tuesday. My Kitty always posed like a dancer when she was trying to catch a fly, but she didn't wear a tutu!

This is a piece made many years back, but fitting to the season:

And some photos to get us into the right mood for winter and Christmas:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  9. Loved your kitty ballerina. So graceful, too. It's an adorable tag. One has to feel sorry for the goose this time of year. I know some people buy them for their Christmas dinner. Your spread was fun to see.

Yes, those photos are definitely trying to put me in the mood. I decorated my house today, which may also help. Thanks for the inspiration, dear.

  14. The tag is so cute and I like the image of your kitty as a ballerina. The poor goose during Stay At Home Advisories isn't the only one getting fat. I enjoyed the festive images you shared, too. Take care and have a good day.

  15. I think we're all grasping at Christmas a little earlier this year. I know I am, I've already taken Autumn down to clean ready to put Christmas up next week. Your tutu dancing kitty is the Cat's Meow! So funny!

  22. Hello Valerie: I am late getting to your blog today. i was up early (I always am) but I was leaving to go to Mississauga and was concerned only with making a bagel with cream cheese to take for breakfast, a thermos of coffee and a piece of apple cake for mid morning - and getting out the door. I went to see a pair of Harlequin Ducks, rare for this area, that appears to have decided to spend the winter on Lake Ontario. It was good to travel beyond home territory for a change. As for your artwork today, I know a woman named Kitty, a retired professor of public health policy (probably not the official title) and I am sure she would look lovely in a tutu. I will have to broach the idea to her! Today would be the day to dance in the streets. It is bright and sunny, and seven glorious degrees. I forgot to take my phone with me so there was no way to let Miriam know I would be late, otherwise I would have stayed out longer and visited other areas. I have agreed to take a couple of local women down to the same general vicinity next week to help them with their fledgling birding adventures, so it would be nice if the same kinds of conditions prevail. I hope the start to your weekend has been good. Until Monday, hugs and kisses. David

    1. Hi David, I missed you! But I must say, bagels with cream cheese, coffee and apple cake should always have priority! And harlequin ducks are certainly worth a journey to visit, glad you had an interesting day. If you get Kitty to dress in a tutu and twirl a pirouette, please take a pic so that I can compare it with my art! We had great weather here, too, cold but bright and sunny, and from tomorrow it's supposed to get wet and miserable again. Hope you get good weather next week when you take 2 local ladies birding, sounds like a fun! Tomorrow I'm going to have a lazy day so I'm looking forward to it. Have a great weekend, hugs to you and Miriam!

  25. I am very late getting by. It's been a busy holiday weekend. Glad I don't have to work so I can rest up a bit-ha-ha. I love your dancing kitty tag. And your page is a riot. We used to sing that song when we were children after my aunt taught it to us, but your version is much more fun! And nice photos too. It's fun to see the something bright and cheery the way 2020 has been. Hope your weekend has gone well. Hugs-Erika
