Hi Everybody!
Another week has flown by and it's almost weekend,
and time for Paint Party Friday.
I'm also linking to Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's lovely theme
of out and about.

of out and about.
I'm sharing another piece made this week at
art group. Our theme was 'Glück' - happiness.
I made an A3 mixed media collage, inspired by the
view from my window, which always makes me happy.
The BG was gessoedand painted, as was the sun.
I added more colours with
pastel chalks. Picasso's woman and the world were
collaged.
And some photos of this warm and spring-like week:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lo for coming by!
If only the rest of the world would listen to your quote, we would live in a much better world filled with harmony and love. This is a beautiful entry. Stunning and hopeful, too.
ReplyDeleteYour world is REALLY beautiful right now. Mostly what I see are redbud and other trees beginning to blossom, but everything in your world is green and gorgeous. Oh to be there right now. Your daily walks inspire me.
Your journal page is beautiful, and I love the quote, so full of hope, which we all need just now. Wonderful colours, too. The photos are, as always, fantastic, marked with your special touch. Hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeleteThe weeks seem to go terribly fast lately, don't they? Always seems like a bit of a whirl. I love your beautiful spring flowers. They remind me, on this gray and gloomy day, that spring will soon be here as well -- and how delightful it will be!
ReplyDeletea wonderful quote and gorgeous art Valerie! Your Springtime photos are so beautiful. I sure hope we get some of that here soon. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteSuch neat art, Valerie. And I love all your spring photos. You seem to be far ahead of us here.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read that you were inspired by what you saw from your window I wondered why there was a naked lady sunbathing outside - but of course you meant your beautiful skies and birds :) ........ love your fabulous art and quote - although I'd like to add chocolate cake to that too...
ReplyDeleteGreat photos again - I wondered if that yellow flower was Mahonia?
Have a great weekend Valerie... Gill xx
Hmm, my neighbour would spend a lot of time looking out if naked lady's were on show! The yellow flower is indeed mahonia, a lot of the houses here have mahonia hedges.
DeleteClever idea for collage. Here I sit surrounded by my orchids and I miss the tulips and daffodils in the spring. I must remember to be thankful for what I have, even when I see your spectacular photos. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteBlossom and blooms Valerie... what a delight and your collage looks like it would be a beautiful place to live. Love the quote and colourful image.

ReplyDeleteI love your painting! Especially since I am a big fan of Picasso's art. I enjoyed the photos of spring flowers...not many flowers have dared to show their heads here as yet!
ReplyDeleteYou are so dang creative - I remembered when I first started following you -- now I am lucky to get a comment in!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved your pictures. A wonderful way for you and the viewer to look at something.
AS far as world harmony goes - I don't want to sound jaded but that is a goal that I am afraid I will not see in my life time.
