Hi Everybody!
This has been a busy week for me, with lots of new
therapies, but it was enjoyable. On the way there and back
I was able to take photos of spring flowers -
although it has been cold, nature is doing her job!
For Paint Party Friday I have a collage I made this week,
using pieces cut from an old National Geographic, placed on a background
of torn and cut book paper, painted over with gesso and
a bit of metallic rusty paint.
I am also linking to Simon Monday challenge, based on a book
For Go Tag Thursday I have a butterfly tag. The background was cut from DP, over which I did a lot of random stamping and scribbling. The small butterflies (LaBlanche) were stamped and Stickled, and the large butterfly, also from LaBlanche, was stamped onto acetate using Stazon, and also Stickled on
the reverse:

Spring flowers:
This is moss, growing on a parapet, and about half an inch high!
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Your collage is lovely, Valerie, but it is that tag that really wows me today. I love the butterflies with their shimmery wings. How very beautiful! Thanks for the gorgeous photos of spring, even if it still is a bit cool outside. Have a restful and fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the collage, there's so much strength there, and the tag is really beautiful, love the sparkle. Wonderful photos, too. Have a good weekend and get a good rest, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI really like that collage with the blues/browns. What a great combination and it looks fabulous too. Love to see the spring photos! I can't wait for flowers to start springing up here. Unfortunately, we still have snow.
ReplyDeleteooooh your collage is very mysterious and intriguing Valerie - the person looks a bit sinister - but I love it!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours on your tag with the beautiful butterflies.
Wonderful spring flowers photos.
Have a good evening and lovely relaxing weekend.

You know I was taken by the rust. The collage is awesome, especially the rust and patina colors you chose. Then I was simply amazed by the tag. Those butterflies are incredible, and I love how you used the Stickles, too. Those LaBlance stamps are the best. I know because you sent me two that I simply adore.
ReplyDeleteYour spring flowers are incredible. I don't see that here, even though it was the warmest February ever recorded. You live in such a colorful area of the world.
Beautiful spring flowers Valerie and your tag is wonderful. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteLoved the butterfly design. It's heartening to see spring budding everywhere; your photos cover it wonderfully
ReplyDeleteFantastic art and photos, happy weekend, Susi
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal page, but I think your beautiful tag stold the show this time....;)))
ReplyDeleteMost interesting collage! Beautiful butterfly tag. Spring seems to be coming to your part of the world. I have yet to see proof of it here. Snow expected this week. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteA lovely tag! Just as lovely as your photos of spring!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend in your lovely neighborhood!!!
Hugs
Sabine
Super projects
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art and lovely photos of approaching spring!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful and unusual page Valerie with interesting designs and colour choices,
ReplyDeleteJust love the tag it is so very beautiful as are the amazing photographs of the flowers and I had to save the bird on the branches ones as they are so clear just right for projects.
The course sounds interesting and nice that it is variety of things rather than just the one.
Will email tomorrow as out Internet this evening is so slow it is taking ages to do commenting.
Love Chrissie x
great color combo on your collage Valerie, and your butterfly tag is so pretty and uplifting as are your photos! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteWow. That collage is really amazing and you tag is pretty fun. What I like about the collage is how you used only 2 images which makes is so dramatic. 🤓 And I do t know what I will find when I get home. It they say we have lost a lot of our snow but it is going to be extremely cold. Oh no. Good thing the spring flowers won't yet be blooming. But yours are gorgeous. Hope all is well. Hugs erika
ReplyDeleteLovely page and tag! Oh how I love spring flowers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea for the page and oh I love the tag! The butterflies are so pretty. Your photos are so lovely too.

ReplyDeleteThe tag is beautiful, butterflies do make me happy, a sign winter is ending, now smile, its been freezing cold, pouring with rain and dull here today.
So I loved the photos you added of the spring flowers and bright skies.

ReplyDeleteHello Valerie, such a lovely collage (colour combinations too), and delightful tag... gorgeous butterflies.
ReplyDeleteThose silhouetted trees and bird on the branch - wonderful!
You found lots of pretty flowers popping up everywhere ... and, goodness me, such lovely patches of moss - I didn't realise mosses could be as lovely as they!

ReplyDeleteOh My Valerie! Where to start what with those gorgeous skies and Spring flowers - I love seeing Aconites as they used to grow in the ditch nearby where I lived as a child! Your collage made me smile as did the butterfly tag but for different reasons as those butterflies are so beautiful! Hugs, Chrisx
