Hi Everybody!
For Paint Party Friday and Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's lovely theme
of out and about, I have an A3 mixed media piece. The background
was painted and textured with a large brayer using sand and
bronze paint. I collaged one of 'my' men, and lots of scraps of
paper napkins and fragments of old letters. I drew round my
man with brown pastel chalk. I used more bronze with a sponge
to stencil the diamonds and birds.
Spring is springing merrily, and I take photos on my way
to and from the clinic each day:
This tree still has no leaves, but the buds are starting to grow:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Lieben Gruss Elke

What a fabulous collage. You find the best bits and pieces to turn into a true work of art. I have no idea where you find time, because I'm struggling just to get something out each day. And I'm not doing a very good job, I fear. Your art always looks planned. Mine looks thrown together.
ReplyDeleteI loved the flower boxes along the road. Those were awesome. I think spring in your part of the world has done a better job of arriving than where I live.
Fabulous work Val, very strong looking page too. Love the colours too. Gorgeous pictures as always. I am now trying to do my journal covers and hopefully then try some pages. Hugs Rita xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou have the best areas to walk in - always beautiful with interesting sights and textures and now beautiful flowers.

Hello Valerie, your methods for making this beautiful piece are so interesting. The bronze gives a lovely sheen and your man stands proudly as he surveys all around him.
