Sunday

Hi Everybody!

This mixed media A4 piece was made last week using a
paper napkin on a painted and textured background. The dots were
sponged on using a stencil with red, orange and black paint.
The quote is from Nelson Mandela. I am linking to
Art Journal Journey,
Yvonne's theme of out and about.

These were taken on my way to the clinic last week:

This little chappie was sitting on a nest box and singing
as loud as he could:

 Trees are blossoming:

Saturday was cold and wet, but the gulls don't mind:

I always love watching the day grow light:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. I was at an African-American Museum last week and this napkin you used as the focal image brought back memories of what I saw there. This is a stunning page, and I love that you always have the best napkins! It never hurts to quote Nelson Mandela, either.

Those gulls look happy and fat. The close-up are fabulous. Loved the photos of the forsythia and daffodils, too. Spring has truly arrived in your part of the world. Hope your day is good and not at all stressful.

  8. Your orange and red AJJ piece is sublime, beautifully minimalist, and the background is superb. I love the way you painted a very light touch of lilac-pink.
Your photographs are stunning too, beautifully composed and full of interest.
I looked carefully at your blogposts posted while I have been off-line. Really Valerie, you excel yourself each time. I'm glad I didn't have to think of a comment for some of your art as it left me speechless with admiration. There's so much variety and creativity and originality. Yes, I'm a great fan.
Hope you have a good week.

What would we do without our love for birds. We saw a lot of Storks in Spain - not so much here though.
