Hi Everybody!
We had a cold, wet and windy day here. I came back from my walk soaked to the skin again, and felt sorry for the poor birdies sitting in those dripping trees all day. Although it was market day, there were neither many stalls nor shoppers around.
For Art Journal Journey I have another scrap collage. The background is a recycled calendar page, painted with gesso, and with some colours added in with oil pastels. I used various pieces of hand-painted papers, a strip of linen, some hand-written pieces, ribbon, and a stamped and fussy cut fountain pen, together with a few of the flying bits and bobs from my table. At the bottom of the left hand side I used a bird die cut, and the strip of lace is perhaps the curtain in my window....
At Moo Mania the theme is 'Merry Christmas' so I am showing 2 of my Christmas cards. The background paper is from Gecko Galz, and has been gessoed round the edges, and mounted onto some blue/green card. I added a die-cut, sparkly angel and some TH houses edged with some golden Stickles.
The second card has been made with some DCWV background paper, matted with black. The music paper is from Gecko Galz, and has also been matted with a fancy cut black card. I added 2 sparkly snowflakes and a deer.

Awww, I LOVE those xmas cards! Especially the angel above the city. The kitty pictures are sooo cute. I did not used to be a cat-person, until a kitten adopted us a few months ago - just showed up and made himself at home. He sounds like a tractor for all the purring and is eating up the abundant attention he gets from the boys. Who knew they can be sooo fun?:-)

Ha, I think that pussy cat is fed up having her photo taken! Lovely collage Valerie and your festive cards look super sparkly. We had torrential rain overnight but that does mean it's much milder today. Enjoy your Saturday.

Very creative art journal page. You even managed to capture the color in the holographic paper. Nice! beautifully done Christmas cards. Love them both but am partial to the second one. You are a good photographer as well. Great pics of the cats and gray everything. - Jim

DeleteGood morning, Valerie. I didn't get to post yesterday; however, I was excited to see your journal page with the violin and music theme. I played the violin in my youth and music has always been a huge part of my life. The photo of you with Santa was very special too. You look so young and happy in this photo. Today, another great collage and your Christmas cards are exceptional. No cards sent by me this year. With everything going on health wise, I just didn't get it done but family and friends know the are loved.
