Wednesday / Thursday Post

 Hi Everybody!

Time is flying and I didn't manage to do anthing today. Nothing, zero! I got up this morning as always, made mysyelf a cup of coffee and sat in my armchair to read the newspaper. Then I took another sip of coffee and it was cold. I looked at my watch and it was 6:30 in the evening. I had slept in the armchair for more than 8 hours. I was totally shocked, this has never happened before. Now it's evening and I need to at least put a post together....Lucky I always have my work done in advance!

This tag is meant for Michele's theme of 'Celestial' at Tag Tuesday. A lady, crowned with the sun on a background of night and stars in my head:

Some thinkies / funnies:

Yesterday I walked along the Rhine, the weather was beautiful:

The sky was blue:

The Ferry crossing over to our side:

And a barge passing by:

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  5. You've been spuddling! Seriously though, your body must have needed it. I sleep a lot these days during the day and am often wide awake for hours at night. I cannot break the cycle. Hugs Deb

    1. Yes, and evidently I'm good at spuddling! I need a long time to get to sleep in bed, but when I'm in my armchair..... Enjoy your day!

  6. I need you to come up with an answer to that question, Valerie, “How come your beard grows back but the hair on your head doesn’t?” That has been the eternal question for men for years! My follicular disfunction started in my thirties and rapidly achieved its total mission! So much so, that when I first met Miriam her daughter asked whether I had a photograph when I still had hair! Ah, those were the days. I had quite a mane too, but its life was short - glorious, but short! As for sleeping the whole day, I have never done that! Were you able to sleep that night too? Quite frequently when I am at home in the afternoon I take a nap after lunch, but only for twenty to thirty minutes. It’s amazing how the body knows to “wake me up” after that brief siesta. Stay well, stay awake, be happy! Hugs and kisses - David

    1. My husband always asked the same question. He was an egg head from early on but had a wonderful, red beard and moustache! I have never slept for so long in the chair 💺. And yes, I slept from about 11:00 pm till morning. I was out with Heike and we somehow ended up in the Pizzeria again. We sat outside and enjoyed our food and cappuccino! Have a great day, hugs!

  10. You made me laugh. You remind me of Rip Van Winkle. Kind of spooky, though. Wow. And I liked that bald headed guy joke, too. Always therapeutic to see water nearby.

  12. Rest is the ultimate battery charger. I have done that (not quite as long) from time to time. Trouble is that then I don't sleep well at night. I love the secret of genius. My dear wife keeps that child alive and well. The view from your balcony is gorgeous. Your artwork always fascinates me.

    Hugs and Blessings

  18. Love your lady crowned with the sun that is inside your head. Love your photos too - a walk down the Rhine on a lovely day like that sounds ideal to me.
I told my other half about your 8 hour sleep - his comment was "Puts your little naps to shame doesn't it". All I can say is it is your body saying you needed it. Hope it did you good.
