Hi Everybody!
Here's wishing us all a peaceful and restful weekend.
I had a busy week, and I am tired, so my weekend post is a mix of David Zinn's, Funnies, Thinkies and a strange face i made last week:
David Zinn:
I woke up to rainy weather this morning:
More from DZ:
Pickles is always good, too:
David Z:
Pickles again:
This strange piece is perhaps not quite as silly as it looks at first glance. I doodled this rather different face and then scribbled her hair. I put lots of thoughts into her head, I think we all have lots of random thoughts and ideas swimming around. And there are some patches on her face and neck. Does she feel hurt? Is she perhaps trying to conceal something? There's a piece of gauze glued over her mouth. Is there something that she can't or won't say? But there are some stars in her eyes - dreams? hopes?
What are your ideas?
Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Hope your weekend is filled with rest and contentment. And innit the truth about the aliens:) Hugs Sandra sandracox.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOh yes. They're probably thinking the earth is a lunatic asylum!
DeletePS Love the face;) Sandra
ReplyDeleteThanks Sweetie!
DeleteGood funnies
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! What a fun post. Love the clever face and what you wrote, it is all so true. And as always, great thinkies and funnies. Have a lovely weekend, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. Have a lovely weekend, take care, hugs to all!
DeleteNow there’s a face to make us reflect on our lives, Valerie. Each person will draw his or her own conclusions from it, but I doubt there is anyone who will not pause for a moment to reflect on some aspect of their lives. Thank you for being our counsellor this morning. A little introspection is probably good for all of us. I wonder if David Zinn knows that his greatest fan lives in Germany in a little town along the Rhine, where she promotes his work on her blog? I am sure he would be impressed. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThanks, dear David! Sometimes we need to stop and reflect. I am definitely finished with being politically correct, and with the chaos in the world today, we cannot keep silent. I love David Zinn's chalk work, I wish I could see some 'in real'! Have a great weekend, hugs, xxxxxxx
DeleteFor me, your face depicts how we all feel these days - afraid to speak due to all the nonsense of name-calling and harsh, unnecessary and constant criticism. In spite of it all, we keep reminding ourselves that being kind to one another is always the better way. I LOVE the deja poo meme - that's a good one! Enjoy your weekend and get plenty of rest.
ReplyDeleteBeing kind is very important, but that doesn't mean we have to let other people trample on our feelings. But mostly it's possible to bring both extremes together!
DeleteThat is a great face. I love the expression and the scribble hair. And I know what you mean about thoughts too. And yes, I tried sticking my tongue out and tried to breath through my nose. Huh-who knew you couldn't do that? Of course, it's not like I sit around trying those things otherwise-grin. Have a relaxing weekend. Enjoy!!!! hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. I think everone who reads things like that has to stick their tongue out. Glad you like my crazy girl! Hugs!
DeleteDeja 💩 describes politics. I think your face is a portrait of women. Hopes, dreams, thoughts, but in a lot of case not really allowed to give them voice. Have a relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, that about sums it up. And if tRump has a say, it will get much worse. Have a great weekend, dear!
DeleteAn interesting and thought provoking face Valerie! A great Saturday post.
ReplyDeleteAlison
Thanks Alison, hugs!
DeleteWhat a thought provoking face. I also feel there are times I should speak up, but hate offending anyone. Not my nature to be mean. I really like deja-poo. I found # 5 (grin)!
ReplyDeleteLately I have started to sa what I think more often, and if people are offended, it is so. Yes, deja - poo is very good!
DeleteWhat can I say? That face says it all. To a relaxing weekend for all of us.
ReplyDeleteYes, happy weekend!
DeleteWhat an enjoyable post!
ReplyDeleteI love the clever face.
And as always, great funnies and thinkies.
Hugs and blessings, Valerie
Thanks Veronica. Have a good, new week!
ReplyDeleteI love a good rainy day. Sometimes it is just what my soul needs. I enjoyed your funnies- especially the "poo" one. Lol. Hope you have a delightful week!
ReplyDeleteYou hsve a great week, too! Hugs!
DeleteGreat girl – yes, we always have a lot of questions in our heads and there are situations that prevent us from saying something, perhaps what concerns us.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I like.
And yes, I love David Z's drawings.
A cheerful greeting comes from Viola.
I wish you a nice new week.
hug

Thanks Jan, have a great week!
DeleteHer hair reminds me of wire wool. I once worked with a guy whom we all thought had knitted hair. He was a bachelor who lived with his mum and she knitted him all his pullovers. His hair was so crinkly it did look like it was knitted. Love the words you chose.
ReplyDeleteHugs Neet xx
Thanks Neet! We have a neighbour with wiry, crinkly have hair, so I know what you mean! Have a happy day, hugs!
DeleteLove the post. Left me smiling. First thought with the last image was "WOW! That must have been some accident." then I looked again and said "COOL."
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
Thanks Jim! Glad you liked the last piece! Hugs
DeletePost all the Zinn you like as far as I'm concerned! I just love his work!
