Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our theme is 'summer holiday', and I have the honour of hosting. First of all I would like to thank our lovely Michele, who made such beautiful tags for her fabulous Celestial challenge over the past 2 weeks. And of course, BIG thanks to Sandie, who keeps the blog going and is also updating the blog, which was sorely necessary .
My favourite place to go on holiday in summer is, of course by the sea:
It's lovely to dive into the water and relax. The starfish is one I brought back from a holiday many years ago:
And I love to see lighthouses:
And I love watching boats or going for a harbour trip or out to an island:
And no, this is not a photo of me:
Some might prefer to go to the country or to a farm, to enjoy the simple life. I did this once - the toilet was in the middle of a muddy field and had 3 seats, so no one had to venture out alone....Never again!
The seaside is better!
Paris is always worth a holiday visit, and the food is great:
Next week I will back to show my very, very, very favourite holiday places!
Tags of all sizes and shapes are welcome at Tag Tuesday, so hope to see lots of you joining in! Have fun!
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Lovely summer tags!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, have a nice day!
DeleteYou have given us a lot of examples of summer holidays. I see the beach tops your list!
ReplyDeleteSitting on the beach with my toes in the water - yessssssssssss!
DeleteThis sounds like a great challenge theme. I love the seaside too. My aunt had a camp at the seaside and it had an outhouse with 2 toilets. Luckily we could go alone though...Grin. I love all your tags, and all the inspiration. I have that lighthouse rubber stamp you used on one of your tags also. I am already thinking of some fun tags to make. Happy new week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. The lighthouse and other tags are old, but I love them. I am not a fan of going to the toilet in company! Have a lovely day, take care.
DeleteBy the way, I was dreaming of bees and flowers last night!
Looks idyllic and the art is pretty. I am surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and drive by when I drive to the doctor.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be surrounded by the ocean, delightful. But I do have the Rhine and lots of streams! Hugs!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! I love your holiday tags, they are all gorgeous! I would like to live by the seaside, too! But Stuttgart is a long way from the sea! I am happy these days when I get a quiet day with time to sit in the garden with my feet up! And toilets in the middle of a field, oh no! Have a great day,, get enough rest! Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI always dreamed of retiring to the seaside, but somehow it didn't work out! But I like being here. You have a wonderful garden to sit in! Have a great day, hugs to all!
DeleteCongratulations! I love your tags, all of them, cannot pick a favourite. As I live in the countryside by the sea I like to go to the mountains. A change of scenery! Have a great week, hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteYesy, the mountains are nice, too, but also far away fom here. Here it is very flat along this stretch of river. You are lucky to live by the sea! Hope you are feeling better, hugs!
DeleteGood morning, Valerie: I think we can all agree that there are some activities better done alone! Unanimity may not be hard to arrive at on this one! I too very much enjoy being at the seaside, but probably for different reasons than most. The first priority is to find the most remote stretch of beach, devoid of people and with rocky areas and tide pools, and seaweed strewn around. Then I can explore to my heart’s content. If I have Miriam and gulls to keep me company my happiness is complete. I am sure that we are all now looking forward to discovering your “very, very, very favourite holiday places.” I am equally sure they will not feature three-holers! Actually Miriam and I just planned a brief getaway for mid-August to Algonquin Provincial Park. We’ll be primarily hunting for northern dragonflies, to say nothing of birds, of course, and I am sure we will have a wonderful time. And we’ll have our own bathroom too. Ah, the luxury of it all. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you are right, an empty stretch of beach is always paradise. I often find myself a neglected place along the Rhine or by the little lakes here and enjoy 'owning' the place for a while. I hope you will enjoy your vacation, a bit of luxury is always good! Enjoy your day, hugs, xxxxxxxx
DeleteWhat a wonderful collection of beautiful tags! I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite but I love the nautical ones. Have a fantastic Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, glad you like the tags!
Deletei absolutely love those marine art crafts:)

Thanks so.much, Jan!
DeleteI can picture myself in those scenes by the sea. Yes, please 😊
ReplyDeleteYes, let's go to the sea!
DeleteYour tags are all gorgeous! I need a holiday by the sea, too! Hugs, Martha
ReplyDeleteI think we all love the sea! Hugs!
DeleteLoving all of these as I seem to have become obsessed with the sea at the moment, it must be that time of the year. Oh by the way I agree with the dangers of going to craft shows, it's dangerous for thr pocket. Have a good week. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed! I go once a year to the craft show in Dortmund, and somehow it costs a lot of money!
DeleteThis is perfect for summer.

Thanks, Regine, stay well and be happy!
DeleteBeautiful art as always, Valerie! What a great theme!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanie, I love it!
DeleteA wonderful selection of tags. No, I will not pick a favorite. All of them will have to do. I used to love the sea. Then I joined the Navy and rode 2 hurricanes at sea. Not a fun time. I still like the sea shore at times but not the way I used to. I prefer a mountain retreat for peace and quiet.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
Thanks Jim. I can understand why you prefer mountains! Hugs!
DeleteI think I will add the word "await" to my latest art journal page.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
DeleteA fabulous design and I love your sweet colours and image here, just beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie, nice to see you here!
DeleteFabulous tags.....I think you might know my favourite! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteMais oui, Madame!
DeleteSuch a fantastic array of tags. I was going to say how much I loved the first one but then others arrived that I liked equally - so thanks - they are all great.
ReplyDeleteI agree though, a holiday is not a holiday unless there is sea. Somehow it makes it all seem like a really lovely relaxed holiday and without it I feel cheated.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps agree about Paris too, love visiting Paris
Thanks Neet!
