Hi Everybody!
Here's wishing us all a good weekend!
Today I have a piece for our poetry challenge at AJJ. Okay, the poetry here is bad, but as long as there's coffee in it I like it! The collage was put together digitally using collage pieces made at various times:
And I have a swinging cat tag for Michele's challenge at Tag Tuesday. The tag was made with some lovely, decorated card from my bit-box:
And as always I have an assortment of cuties, funnies, thinkies. David Zinn's etc, enjoy:
This one speaks to me!
In Memory to those who died on 9-11. The hands are made of small steel birds of peace, one for each person who died:
Photos from here:
These are so gorgeous, but not from me:
Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
WOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I liked everything in it :)
Wishing you a happy weekend.
All the best Jan

Thanks, Jan, have a great weekend, hugs 🤗!
DeleteI don't drink much coffee but do enjoy it most mornings for breakfast. I recently bought a new drip filter cone and a kettle that has a coffee setting for the perfect temperature. Your sweet heading reminds me of a plate my {late} friend once owned with a Jane Greenway design. Have a lovely weekend! Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, your coffee equipment sounds fab! The pictures in the header were cut from an old book page. Happy weekend 💖!
DeleteLovely art, cute funnies and photos Valerie!
ReplyDeleteThanks and happy weekend!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you are sleeping a bit better and looking forward to your trip to the hairdresser's today, ha ha! Just relax and enjoy it! We are going to Leah's today, she cooks so much better than I do! Have a good weekend, try to rest and catch up on some sleep. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah, hugs to all, have fun!
DeleteHappy weekend Valerie, popping in before I head out for my weekend care duties.
ReplyDeleteGreat journal page & poem, Tea to start off my day & coffee to keep me awake through it :)) Nice little poem.
The Bird hand memorial is a beautiful creation & I adore the cabbage kiddies, so sweet.
Enjoy your pamper.. Crafty Hugs Tracey xx
Thanks, Tracey, I will! Have a good weekend, take care, and I hope you get some me time, too. Hugs 🤗🙏🤗
DeleteWow, lots of photos, love the deer crossing one. And very nice poem/page and tag. I've been trying to drink tea once a day but my tastebuds go for the bean every time, lol. I have a really good single-cup coffee maker by Hamilton Beach and it is just too easy to make each cup, heehee. Hope your weekend is nice and you are feeling better, xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks Aimeslee! I try to drink tea, too, but I just don't like it. And as you say, with our automatic coffee makers, no problem! Hope your pains are less! Have a great weekend 💖, hugs!
DeleteJust had a lovely catch up Valerie, super photos and art. The photo for 9/11 looks so meaningful. I hope you are keeping well, enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYvonne
Thanks Yvonne. Have a good weekend, take care, hugs!
DeleteThis post was such a fun read with all the artwork, funnies and beautiful photos. I love those little "cabbage patch kids" - they're much cuter than the dolls my daughter had back when they were popular LOL Enjoy your weekend and you coffee and take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol! Yes, those kiddies are soooo cute, my grandchildren would never have kept still for so long! Have a great weekend, take care, hugs!
DeleteOkay, if the theme is poetry, here goes.
ReplyDeleteA package in my mailbox laid,
Containing items gently made.
Bookmarks for my heart’s content,
Banish page’s corners bent.
They shall be used with loving care,
Bold design and touch of flare.
Unique and sweet, not two the same,
Ever joyful, never bane.
A book lover’s dream come true,
To mark the pages and renew
A sense of awe and pleasure great,
And word by word anticipate.
New knowledge gleaned, with words sublime,
To read is never waste of time.
Simple pleasures, as though for lovers,
Nestled sweetly ‘tween the covers.
To you, dear friend, my appreciation.
In fact, from the entire Canadian nation.
To have fulfilled this special wish,
With class and style - you’re such a dish!
Hugs and kisses,
David
Well done, You're a poet and I didn't know it. I hope you send a poem to Carol, too, who made the nicest bookmarks in your package.https://crafty-stamper.blogspot.com/
DeleteToday I went with Heike to the hairdresser's and we both came out nicely c ut and combed! And of course, we went for a cappuccino before we came back. I think she will be having her afternoon sleep soon, and so will I! Hugs, xxxxxxx
Oh I do love your tea for 2 piece, and it's not silly. It did make me smile though, especially on a dark and damp morning, that is never a bad thing. And your Maya Angelou poetry funny would make a great poem for a page. Grin. Mr. Cat is cool too. And I'm glad there's a better word than addict for my craft supply collection too. :) I hope you have a super weekend Valerie. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika! Glad it made you smile. We had a sunny morning but now it's grey and drizzly again. I thought that funny just fitted perfectly to our theme! Yes, we are collectors, and the things we save / hoard would block up all of the landfills if we got rid of them, so we're protecting the environment! I had a haircut today, Heike more or less pushed me in there, and now I look like goody shoes! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!
DeleteWow! Awesome weekend post ~ great photos and fun comic strip ~ thanks,

ReplyDeleteThanks, Michele, hugs!
DeleteWhat fabulous figures in the first piece for AJJ. I love them and the background. Lovely little poetry piece too that you changed to make it work so well for you. Love the cat tag - he's a handsome guy!
ReplyDeleteAs always I enjoyed your thinkies/funnies - the cabbage kids are adorable and as always the Zinn pictures just blow the mind. Couldn't help but enjoy the Angelou poem, that is brilliant.
Hugs, Neet xx
