Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time I am hosting. Thanks to Michele, our previous host, who tagged so many gorgeous Kitties. My theme for the next 2 weeks is 'colours'. Choose which ever theme you want, but show some colours. I made 2 tags, one with feathers and the second with coffee - what else!? I hope to see YOU joining in!
And then I decided to put the feathers tag onto a hybrid journal page, and add a poem to make it suitable for Erika's and my poetry challenge at AJJ. And Emily Dickinson's 'feathers' is perfect here:
And a few funnies/ thinkies:
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
I do like both of your tags and then clever how you've made the hybrid journal page :)
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of funnies/thinkies.
Happy Tuesday Wishes.
All the best Jan

Thanks Jan, have a great week!
DeleteBoth tags are wonderful and I love the poem you added to the journal page with the feather's tag. Creative and fun and those thinkies today are really wonderful, especially the one with the baby and Woody Guthrie! Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. Those 2 thinkies really hit the spot! Hugs!
DeleteI love this idea for Tag Tuesday. And I also love your poem and how you used your tag to make that lovely page about the poem. Feathers are cool, and so it that peely looking background you made. I hope you had a nice Monday. Here it was cold and damp and then wet. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. The peely background is a photo I tool many years ago, it makes a great background! We've got nasty weather on the way, good time to stay home and have fun!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Once again your creativity shines through. Love the feathers tag and how you made it part of the journal page, clever. Have a great day, take care and don't overdo things! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThnks so much Sarah. I just like having fun! Hugs!
DeleteBoth of your tags today are exquisite, Valerie, especially the one with feathers and the verse by Emily Dickinson. You can well imagine that I am totally in love with that one. I recently got a book of poetry by Dickinson from the library, but barely had a chance to open it before I returned it. I’ll check it out again in the summer when things are not quite so hectic. She certainly knew how to speak volumes in few words, and I need to expose myself to more of her work. And the image of the baby should be imprinted in the brains of everyone. Hatred is a constant in life and we seem to be incapable of banishing it from the collective consciousness of society. We wage war continuously, kill each other without a moment’s hesitation, revive old tropes to stigmatize and victimize our fellow humans, and it never ends. We even show a remarkable ability to elect politicians who will stoke the fires of division and hatred. I am afraid that baby, despite all that could be achieved, will be entering a world no better than the one we face today. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeletees, the mage of the baby and the message is so important, and the world seems to be getting more hostile and colder day by day. I'm glad I don't have tp teach or bring up children anymore.
DeleteToday I saw a beautiful little bird - the size of a Meise (Chikadee) and similar paterrns but a yellow belly and tail feathers, so pretty. Do you have an idea what it could be?
Have a great week, take care, hugs! xxxxxxx
The first word should be Yes! And mage shoud be image!
DeleteHi Val, beautiful work again today, the one with the feathers is amazing. The littl'un has got measles and is not looking well just now, so I'm hoping it doesn't last too long. Have a great week, hugs, Martha
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. Sorry about little Bebe, hope she gets through it quickly!
DeleteIt's always a joy to see your artwork!! And today I was especially touched by the baby quote and Woodie Guthrie's song quote... I am going to share that one!! Makes so much sense. As they say, "Follow the Money"
ReplyDeleteOh yes, follow the money. Some make fortunes from war. You are always welcome to use any memes or pics from my blog!
DeleteI especially like the colorful feathers tag. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love feathers! Hugs!

DeleteHi Val. Love Emily and your art today. Colors is a good theme, I hope to take full advantage if I can finish deadline stuff, heehee. Yesterday it was sunny here and temp hi was 95F! Today, another weaker straight line wind and rain storm and 81F! And it's supposed to last for days, the rain and lower temps. Hey, I'll take it! XOX
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of hot weather, rain and lower temps sound fine to me. Same weather here, cool, wet and stormy, good weather to stay home, read and paint! 🤗 Hugs
DeleteBoth tags are lovely and I love how you used Emily Dickinsons poem to illustrate your journal page alongside the feather tag. Perfect for your Challenge at Art Journal Journey. Some thought provoking thinkies too today.
