Hi Everybody!
Today has been a very stormy day so I've been tring to dodge the rain , thunder and lightning, and mostly succeeded. Now the rain is hurtling down, so I'm glad I got back home on time after visiting Heike .
Today I have another piece for Erika's and my challenge at AJJ, this one with a bird. The words printed round it are part of a song we used to sing when we first started school, way back when at the beginning of the 1950s:
'Little bird, I have heard,
What a pretty song you sing:
Flying high, in the sky.
On your tiny wings':
Andx I have another cat tag for Michele's challenge at Tag Tuesday:
And this is the weather outside as I'm typing:
Not my photo, but so fantastic, wow:
Beautiful:
???
Peekaboo!
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Love the little bird on the colourful background and fabulous cat image on the tag.Love all the Nature pics, shame about your weather not to brag but we have had sun today lol.

Sunshine and showers, they sometimes come together! Hugs!
DeleteLovely page and tag. Awesome photos Valerie. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Christine!
DeleteYikes! Looks like quite the storm coming. I hope all was OK. I love both these pieces today, Valerie. The color and simplicity of the dove, the debonaire look of the cat tag! Happy rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, and to you!
DeleteHi Val, love both pieces today. I remember that song from school đ« too, it's a shame that so many songs are out of fashion these days. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! I think children need time to be children, and not mini adults, they lose so much!
DeleteWow that is a dark sky-we have severe weather coming in this evening-hoping we do not get the 75 mile per hour winds they are predicting sounds like tornado weather-ugh. Love your art and the other photos and memes were special hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteStay safe in the storm! Hugs & prayers, Valerie ❤️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours, love it. Glad you dodged the rain. Thankfully the rain held off while we had our golf match today. Lots of rain now. Have a great week. Anesha x
ReplyDeleteThanks, and I am glad your golf match stayed dry! Hugs!
DeleteWow that is some weather!! Your little bird is so cute, and the cat really does have cattitude! I hope your weather picks up, we had a lovely sunny weekend, but it's back to meh now. Take care and have a great week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. We had a lot of bad weather in the night, and it still looks bad, but I slept through most of it, so who cares? Hugs!
DeleteAwesome stormcloud photos. We have that in a forecast for tomorrow night, but we'll see. We often don't get it as bad as they predict.
ReplyDeleteHope it's not too bad. It's still stormy here but not so scarily dark! Stay safe!
DeleteBoth your tag and your journal page are great Valerie. I bet that page was fun to make. And wow, those storm photos are amazing. We've had storms this afternoon here also, but I didn't see anything quite so dramatic. I hope you're having a great week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, it's just normal grey this morning, so I hope it stays like this. And I slept for a few hours, so I feel better for that. Hugs, enjoy your week!
DeleteI like your journal page and tag.
ReplyDeleteWe've had quite heavy rain but no thunder/lightening, although some areas have.
Just love 'Peekaboo' so cute :)
Happy Wednesday wishes.
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteLots of birds here, Valerie, but I’m afraid that I too must fly today, so it’s but a brief comment this morning. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThanks David, don't worry, fly safely! Hugs xxxxxxx
DeleteThe little birdie is so adorable with that great background. Glad you got home before the storms hit - they look wicked. Take care and have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, today is rainy and not nice either, but no storms - yet! But storm clouds always make spectacular photos, so that's something. Hugs!
DeleteLovely post today. The photographs are brilliant and love your little bird. It's been raining here too, all day actually but I believe it should be better tomorrow. Have a good creative week. Hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela, have a great day, and let's keep hoping for better weather!
DeleteThat cat in front of KFC made me laugh. Man! What a joke!
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I think it's a rooster! Hugs!
DeleteWhat great fun photos, you had me at everyone today, and I love your cat tag he is awesome, and your sweet little bird and song, so lovely..the weather looks like mine, we have an easterly going through so rain for 5 days or more constantly and the one week where I have to go out 4 times!!!
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
Thanks Chrissy! Ain't that the truth, if you need to go out then the weather's bad! Look after yourself f hugs!
DeleteStunning photos of the sky outside as you typed todays' entry for AJJ up. Gosh, that was some storm and you have captured the powerfulness of it.
ReplyDeleteLove your little bird and the way you have written the poem around the rectangle. At first glance you could almost think it was the flag of some country. I did for a split second or so.
Gorgeous thinkies, the bird drinking is fantastic photography and I love the little oewl.
Take care, hope your friend Heike is feeling much better.
HUGS, NEET XX
Thanks Neet, the sky was really scary and we still don't seem to be through this patch of changeable weather. Still, there's nothing we can do except sit it out. Heike is feeling better, today we went out for lunch and that was nice. Have a great weekend, take care, hugs!
DeleteSweet birdie on a cool background and LOL at the catitude gent. Those are some scary skies! Think I've seen them before over here not fun. Glad you didn't get soaked. Have a nice Friday, xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I got soaked today, and I need to visit a friend in hospital this afternoon so I will probably get soaked again! Have a great day, take care! Hugs!
