Hi Everybody!
Hope you are all doing well. This week has got off to flying start - time is flying and I'm running behind it. Today I have another piece for my geometric shapes challenge, hope you like it:
(I used lots of stencils here)
And I also have another tag for Sandie's anything goes challenge at Tag Tuesday:
This is one of my drawings fcrom the 1990s!
A few of my coffee mugs:
I wish you SUCH a wonderful day:
And more from David Zinn:
Here David is taking a rest and his little creatures are cooking for him:
Can you think of a caption for this Kitty?
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
You have a fabulous collection of coffee mugs, Valerie, but my favourite is the one with books. What a pleasure it would be to use that one. I am sipping coffee right now from my favourite Sulphur-crested Cockatoo mug, but I might even be persuaded to switch to the books. Maybe a bird reading a book would be the best of all! We arrived back from Ottawa last evening and will be having lunch with friends today. Such are the pleasures of life. Then on Wednesday I will be giving a presentation on the birds of Australia and on Friday leading a walk for a branch of the Waterloo Public Library. Life is busy but very agreeable.
ReplyDeleteWhile in Ottawa we crossed over into Québec and went for a long walk along a stretch of the Canadian Shield, very rugged and hard going in places, but glorious. What news of Heike? I hope that Nurse Valerie is taking good care of her, that she is behaving and getting better. Hugs and kisses - David
Hi David, glad you had a good time with your daughter and in Quebeck. My book mug is fun, you can get them from Amazon. Heike is much better, but she still spends most of the day in bed, I must get her back to her normal routine. Have a great day, enjoy your birds! Hugs, xxxxxxxx
DeleteThe stenciles worked well. Your art is uplifting. I love it. Those chalk critters are neat. I also love seeing little painted rocks. Though I've only seen one in real-life, outside of Barnes. So cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Ivy, thanks so much. I love painting rocks, give it a try!
Delete❤️
DeletePS. I love painting and building furniture. Crazy fun.
DeleteIt is indeed! Hugs!
DeleteI just love your blue stenciled piece, it's so eye catching. I always enjoy your posts with all the photos but I'm not clever enough to come up with a caption for that kitty LOL It sure looks upset though doesn't it? Wishing you a great day and good health.
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me you're not clever! I had fun with the stenciled piece, I love blue! Hugs!
DeleteLovely page it has a 3D effect. Nice tag and fun thinkies. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, hugs!
DeleteBeautiful page and love the colours! Great Tag, too. Have a great day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, and thanks for the parcel, I love all of the socks, wow!
DeleteHi Valerie. I've found you again!! I love the blue art, one of my favourite colours there. And the street/pavement art is so cute, what a treat to come upon that in your day. Looking forward to catching up with your adventures. Theresa, aka Poetic Scraps (once upon a time in blogland!)
ReplyDeleteHi Theresa, long time no see. Nice that you called in. Are you going to come back to blogging? That would be nice. Hugs, Valerie
DeleteHi Valerie. Sadly no. I'm now an occasional Instagramer rather than occasional blogger, having much less time to art or write. But I'm pleased that I've found you again and look forward to your adventures in art and your wonderful photo walks. Have a great weekend. Theresa xx
DeleteOkay, but I will always be happy to see you. Take care! Hugs!
DeleteI'm loving the new header. Is it from a travel journal? And oh, the blue of your art today. It's gorgeous. The sky here is a gorgeous blue, not so dark, but lovely. I hope you're having a wonderful day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Erika, I think I must be in a blue phase, I'm wearing blue from head to toe, too! The header is a photo of a canvas I made years ago. I used a napkin for the image. Glad you like it. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLOve all the blue stencilling and pavement art-we have cough cough quite a few coffee mugs lol
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Oh yes, hugs always seem to multiply on the shelf! Hugs!
DeleteThis is cute
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody!
DeleteYour art today seems to have a blue theme, I like it.
ReplyDeleteYour coffee mugs look great especially the book case one.
Happy midweek wishes.
All the best Jan

Thanks Jan, I love blue!
DeleteNice stencilling and tag. Love that drawing from last century, lol. And nice new blog header too! Hope you are making great progress with your new laptop. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAh yes, we oldies have experienced a lot! I work on my new laptop for an hour or so here and there....getting rid of some Windows bits that I don't like and making it my edition of Windows! Hugs!
DeleteAnother fab Tag. Thank you so much Valerie for supporting my theme again. xx
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Sandie, hugs!
DeleteIf that is Zinn, then he is a handsome man. Wow! I love your nude art and the dragon flies, too.
ReplyDeleteHandsome and very talented! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI so love playing with stencils and this is great. I think the kitty in the box is saying " Go Away! this is my box! Don't you dare come any closer or I'll have you". Thanks for showing us some more of David's brilliant at work too. Happy crafting, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks, I had big fun with the stencils this time, couldn't stop!
DeleteFabulous page Valerie, I really love those blues! Great to see more Zinn pavement art! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, I'm on a blue trip just now!
DeleteYour artwork and tag are absolutely gorgeous Valerie xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Pinky, hugs!
DeleteLove the various shades of blue you are using today. Looks as if you had fun with the stencils like I did (am working backwards). I just adore the bird you painted and I love the tag from way back. Obviously you enjoy art and have done so for a while.
ReplyDeleteMore of David Zine - fabulous!
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet, I have been making art since way back, I even drew on the walls as toddler. It was not appreciated!
DeleteLoved that stenciled background. It goes perfectly with your theme at AJJ. I was also quite impressed with your tag, too. You have a lot of adorable coffee mugs. I especially like the cow and the bookcases. Hope all is well in your world.
ReplyDeleteThanks E, I love my coffee mugs! Have a wonderful day, thanks for coming by!
DeleteHappy Week, Valerie! Love seeing your mug collection and the cute everything-else in this post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie. I have dozens of mugs, so every couple of weeks I use another assortment!
DeleteYour art is beautiful Valerie! We have a lot of mugs too, but tend to use the same few. Hubby likes a big mug :-)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Alison
