Monday Post on Sunday afternoon

 Hi Everybody!

This is the first post I'm typing on my new laptop. I've been busy for a few days trying to get everything set up, and slowly I'm getting there. I still need to install some of my favourite posts, slowly, slowly, slowly.... I hope I will have it all finished before I need another one!

Today I have a piece for my geometric shapes challenge challenge at AJJ, made with a stencil, acrylic paints and acrylic pens:

And now let's get started with some fun to put us in a good mood for the new week:

And some more from David Zinn:

For all who love books:

This is my fave beret. I was in a hurry and threw it onto the table where it landed on the glass bowl for my odds and ends, and realised I had created a photo of myself:

Coffee helps start the new week well, too:

Good morning, I am the coffee fairy and wish you a great day:

I will be linking to Elizabeth's TsfT drink party which starts on Monday evening:

Scenes from along the Rhine:

And some photos from the old cemetery in Düsseldorf (not the coffee!

Have a good start in the new week, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  6. A new computer is very very exciting. Have fun getting it set up. I'm loving your latest journal page. That tree and the face are perfect for Earth Day. That is a very cool bowl too, and you are right with the beret making it a piece of art. I love your red beret also. I actually thought it was a piece of art and not your beret thrown on it. And you are so right about the cure for boredom. It's a good thing there is no cure for books. :) Have fun playing, have a great T day and start to the new week. hugs-Erika

  9. Your geometric shapes make me think of “spring bliss” :-)) Spring is so beautiful - isn’t it? And one of the things I love most is this wonderful bright green...
The first butterflies were already there when it was so warm recently.
The warmth comes back, pretty quickly actually.
    David Zinn - delicious.
    Thanks.
Your beret is great... and coffee,
yes, always helps... almost always. Above all, humor helps :-)
A warm greeting to you on the Rhine and Congratulations on the new laptop.

  23. It took me a minute to see the face in your latest AJJ entry. It is wonderful.

I really love the coffee entries. They are extra special. I love the coffee in the floral h8eart and the good morning coffee. Thanks for sharing these with us for T this Tuesday.

Love the shots from the Rhine and your favorite beret on the face (lips). Hope you get your new laptop running smoothly soon.

  26. Your page is so beautiful, Valerie! and so are the photos from along the Rine and from the Friedhof. When I was still living in Germany, I often went to the Friedhof and just sat there, reading or journaling (or both) and listening to the birds. We don't have that kind of inviting cemeteries here - there is the old rural cemetery near my home which is very beautiful, but there are almost no benches and the two they have are made of stone and freaking cold on the butt. Not very inviting. Enjoy your coffee - that's always a good start to a new day. Hugs - Carola
