Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, enjoy!

Today I'm bringing you some of my 'Knock Offs' - my version of some famous paintings.

The bird and the sun are from Braque:

This is from Picasso, and I cannot like it because I do not like to see animals senselessly slaughtered for fun:

This Photos is the Lifesaver Fountain in Duisburg, a neighbouring town, and I love it. It is from Nicki de Saint Phalle, an artist who made these overlarge representations of female bodies. You will not see any super thin figures here:

These are all my interpretations of her work:

And I have 2 glass sculptures of the Nickis:

Mona Lisa from the one and only da Vinci

Andie Warhol:

Klimt (I was not happy with this one)

Matisse:

Miro ( inside my heads)

And some funnies / thinkies:

Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

    1. Today it doesn't seem to be fashionable to have a gramme to much on your body, and this is why I love these images! Have a great weekend, hugs!

    1. Dancing is good for body and soul, and when your foot is better you will dance again.

  11. I love your Klint, her hair is fabulous. And your Matisse is fab as well. I have a print of Joan Mirot's Singing Fish and it has always bothered me a bit. My daughter says it looks like a dancing dachshund to her and I'm inclined to agree, lol. Hope your weekend's going well for you, xoxo

      Nochmal gute Besserung!

  18. You did great work.
    I like above all
"Dance like nobody's looking...." and all the dancers. KLASSE!
    The glass skulpturen are awesome!
My goodness, you were productive... together with Miro :-)) Thank you.
    A warm greeting from Viola

  20. It is such fun to see and once again see your knock offs. I think you should call them in the style of some famous artists, not knock offs. They are too good to be knock offs. I hope you had a lovely weekend. hugs-Erika

  21. You featured two of my favorite art motives today. One is Mona Lisa parodies and reworkings. (I have a huge collection of them in many media). The other is the Nanas by Niki de Saint Phalle. This weekend I featured one on my blog that I met at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Some of my favorites are her Stravinsky Fountain in Paris and several in San Diego, CA where she spent the last years of her life.

  23. They are all good but that last, funny had me crying!
Love all your interpretations of famous works of art but the ones from Niki de Saint Phalle are fabulous. I wonder if she had any influence on Art by Marlene?
    Hugs, Neet xx
