DeleteHi Val, good morning. Love those beautiful, delicate lines and patterns, and I know it grieves you that you can't do this any more. But you still make lovely art, like your beautiful flowers today and all of the other beauties you have made in last weeks. Have a lovely day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, you are always so kind.Hugs!
DeleteSuch a pretty piece for Jo's theme at AJJ and thank you so much for including that past art of yours. How beautiful is that 'tangling'. (Are we allowed to call it zentangling?). These are pieces from your past which I have never seen before. I never did master the art of it but admire it so much. I particularly like the pieces where you have included a portrait and your own line work. Beautiful Valerie.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet. These days some words are not politically correct, but I think Zen is okay! I can't do it anymore, but other things are possible! Hugs!
Deletelovely artwork, I love all the details and the collage work. Beautiful! Happy November and I wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Maria! Happy November to you and youre, hugs!
DeleteI especially like your "doodle" or "tangle" art, some of which I don't remember. I always love your faces and some of these are awesome. Thanks for sharing these as your second look on the 2nd, dear.
ReplyDeleteYour new entry for Jo's theme at AJJ is awesome. The composition is fabulous and I absolutely adore your beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing it at AJJ.
Some of the funnies were wonderful and had me smiling.
They are called tangles! Glad you like Jo's flowers! Happy Thursday, hugs!
DeleteGreat job, Valerie. Some of your past artwork is really terrific, and I can see why you like to recycle it for this kind of challenge. There’s a whole intellectual component to it. You should send the one about thoughts in your head escaping through your mouth to any member of the Trump family. What few thoughts they have are garbled, erroneous, dangerous, and nonsensical, but they escape from their mouths daily. Winter is starting to nibble at the edges here. Yesterday it was minus two, but sunny and quite glorious. Ironically, I didn’t get out much, but I did get caught up on a whole lot of things inside. Tonight I am committed to make chicken stew for dinner so I will have to hie myself off to the store to shop for the ingredients I don’t have on hand. I will make dumplings too, and that really makes it a winter’s dish. Miriam will be so happy when she hears me call to her, “Dinner’s ready” and a hot, steaming bowl of culinary delights is waiting at her place at the table, wine poured and ready to toast the Exalted Ornithologist and Artiste Extraordinaire of Balconia-by-the-Rhine. Life is good! Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteI used to love making those tangles, but it's not possible these days. Yes, that could be a description of Donut Rump! Here it's very cold and stormy day here, I m staying home! Your chicken soup with dumplings sounds delightfu!, And I am looking forward to your toast this evening. But I want marmalade on my toast! Have a great day, take care, hugz!
DeleteYou are so demanding.
DeleteYessssssssssssssssssss!
DeleteI'm not a coffee drinker but I could sure use a cup of coffee this morning. Tea just doesn't cut it right now. :) I remember some of these fun second looks but not the zentangle. I love that feather with the ink pad. Very cool! It's a nice collection of second looks of art today. And your flowers for Jo's challenge are very lovely. It's too cold here for flowers as we have a heavy frost tonight. Have a super Thursday and the rest of your week too. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteCoffee is always good for me! I used to love making those tangles, but it's not possible any !more. But I can do other things, and that's good, too. Here it's cold and very windy and stormy, good weather to stay home. Have a great day! Hugs!
DeleteThis is all exceptionally beautiful and I love the detail. There is something about pen-and-ink work when highlighted by color that just grabs me. That one of the head full of lovely things is particularly striking but I love them all. I don't remember seeing these before so I'm glad you shared them this time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie. I love pen and ink and a bit of colour, too. These pic tures were made about 10 years back! It's always god to have a head full of good things!
DeleteI love your detail. I'm especially impressed by your "rarely a good thing" image.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, I like that one, too! Hugs!
DeleteWOW what a fabulous collection of projects Valerie, a fabulous walk down memory lane..

DeleteI love the flowers on your latest page but It's also so good to see your 'faces from the past! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, it's good to look back! Hugs!
DeleteI enjoyed seeing your past work, especially the way you integrated the tangles into the images, rather than just having them on their own. I have a friend who was a zentangles instructor for a while, so I've seen some of that work, but not the way you did it.
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thanks Mae. I enjoyed integrating the tangles into other things. Have a great day! Hugs!

DeleteI never saw your "old" art before. Awesome! I love the intricate black and white details. You must have had a very steady hand to draw like this. Just amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, things change, now my hands just keep shaking- But it is as it is, and I have to accept it as it is. Have a great weekend, hugs!
Traude
