Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, time for a break!
Here it has got very cold today, and this morning we started out with mist and frost. I stood on my balcony just before 7 am - still in my nightdress - and managed to get a photo which I will show later.
I also have a cold and snowy scene for Jo's nature challenge at AJJ. I like looking at snow, but I'm not really happy being out in it. The quote is from William Blake. I used a freebie from the Graphics Fairy to which I added other elements:
My arty (messy) Kitchen:
And some thinkies / funnies:
And a photo of the mist and frost this morning:
Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Lovely wintry nature piece and I like your arty kitchen. Thanks for the thinkies.

Summer is better than the icy blasts just now! My Kitty often slept draped round my head, my dog was always over my feet! Happy weekend!
DeleteHi Val, good morning, it's weekend! Today the whole family is coming here, so I need to be ready! And of course, I am never ready....I love your beautiful, snowy scene with the deer, and the misty header looks very mysterious, but cold! Have a great weekend, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will be ready when they arrive! Have fun together! Happy weekend!
DeleteI love your frosty winter page Valerie and the funnies did make me smile.
ReplyDeleteSorry I am not here so often, some days I do struggle with the hands and the eyesight . I am also having blood tests etc and meds reviews and wonder in the evening where the day has gone.
Take care of yourself.
Yvonne xx
Don't worry, Yvonne, it's the same here, I can do less and less - but it is as it is! Hugs! Happy weekend!
DeleteUwielbiam takie miejsca jak twoja pracownia kocham taki artystyczny bałagan
ReplyDeleteU nas też zimno . Milego weekendu:)
Thanks Lucyna, I like artistic mess too, and always have 'balagan' in my studio! Hugs
DeleteLove your winter themed art. A few days ago I made a "hot mess" out of a piece I've put many hours into, so am taking a few days away from it to process the emotions! It's supposed to warm up here tomorrow, but another named storm is coming in! Have a good weekend, Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb! I'm good at making hot messes, too, and it is very annoying. Hope you can put it behind you soon. Here the weather is not nice - very windy, rainy and cold. I had a hard time coming back from my friend as I was afraid the umbrella or my beret would fly away! But I'm safely back and that's good. Hope the storm won't affect you too much. Take care, hugs, Valerie
DeleteIt's fun to be creative, I always have to tinker with something :-))
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Oh yes, I like the snow when I have skis on my feet!
It's still autumn for me... beautiful colorful leaves... But the Christmas markets are coming soon. Are you looking forward to it?
Hug Viola
Oh yes. Reibekuchen will be there every day, yummy!
DeleteIt's way warmer than that here. No chance of frost. I sympathize with the 4pm start-gazing :( So dark, so early :(
ReplyDeleteCold, dark, wet..... tomorrow I'm going to have a reading day!
DeleteYou have the 4 seasons. Over here in Hawaii, it's perpetual summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the different seasons but winter is sometimes hard!
DeleteLove the beautiful Wintry snowy scene and your early morning pic, we had our first frost last week and have had a few foggy morning-great African proverb too
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol. I love snowy scenes, but I am not a fan of cold, dark and wet! Have a great weekend, hugs!
DeleteI don't know how you find all these fabulous thinkees and funnies but I really get a kick out them. I do love looking at snow but don't want to be in even for a minute. Thanks goodness I'm in Florida for the winter!
ReplyDeleteFlorida is probably a lot warmer! Enjoy,!
DeleteI love your new page Valerie! I love a misty morning too, as long as the sun burns it off later in the day! Loving the funnies, we'll soon be stargazing at 4pm too. Enjoy your weekend, hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. I love seeing the frost seemingly steaming off the meadow. Have a geat day, hugs!
DeleteYour cold wintery page is lovely. Valerie. Adding that buck/stag really draws the eye in because he is pretty impressive. And it does look frosty in your photo. We had some rain this morning and then the wind picked up and now it is chilly. A good time to snuggle up on the couch for certain. Take care and have a relaxing weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika. Today it's not quite as cold as it was, but there's a very nasty wind. I'm having a stay home day, need to do some tidying on my art table, and I still have lots of nice books to read!
DeleteYour wintry creation looks interesting with the fairies, little mice and tiny bird. Loving all the funnies and thinkies, and whatever is in that cup with the spoon - yes please! It looks yummy! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol! I think it's a caramel Latte with vanilla ice and cream, not bad, huh? Have a lovely Sunday! Hugs!
DeleteOMG warm wishes and a Happy Sunday. Thanks for linking to SundaySmiles.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the African proverb to share at my whatsapp status
