Tuesday / Wednesday Post

Hi Everybody!

Today I have some beautifully scary pieces for you. The first is the tag I made for Michele's new challenge at Tag Tuesday. Her theme is silhouettes. Any sort of silhouette is welcome, and as always, you have 2 weeks to join us. I decided to start practising for Halloween....And please don't worry, no real blood was spilt to make the tag:

And then I altered it a bit, as it has a cat on it, and so I made it suitable for Elle's books, cats and tea challenge at AJJ. Freddie looks like he is roaring to go, and Mrs WW, the wicked witch is having a trial flight:

These pieces are both hybrid brews from my magical, digital couldron.

That's all for today folks. My computer is playing silly buggers so I want to get finished before it goes on strike!

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. I do love your Hallowe'en artwork. I've been particularly pleased this year to see the craft shopping channels have been. selling Hallowe'en in plenty of time for us to buy and get things ready. In previous years, they've either had nothing available at all, or they put it up for sale the week before Well, that's no good, is it. Spooky hugs, Deb

  4. Love that tag - I hope WW does not fall off her broomstick, maybe she should have an "L plate"!. How good is it that you used it to make a journal page - great for Elle's challenge too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the funnies/thinkies too - I don't know where the box is either.
    Have a lovely week.

  10. Nelson Mandela was a very wise man, wasn't he? We need more of his ilk, Valerie, but sadly people of his calibre come along only once in a generation, if that. Your Halloween piece is delicious - where did you get that image of my former mother-in-law to sit on the broom? I love the one about Fox News too - so true! And then there is Donald Trump whose vocal chords and tongue are carefully coordinated to spit out lies. I am quite sure that if for once an utterance of truth came out of his fat, ugly, vicious, gaping mouth he wouldn't even recognize it. It is truly dumbfounding that so many Americans still follow his every word, and form a legion of devotees sufficient to re-elect him. We went for a walk this morning, and although the weather was quite fall-like and extremely pleasant, there was little in the way of birds, when migrants should be moving through in good numbers. I wonder to what extent this reflects the birds that have lost their lives in the wildfires across their breeding range, and the number of nests that were prevented from producing young. It concerns me a great deal. Enjoy the rest of your week. Say hi to Heike for me. Hugs and kisses - David

    1. Yes, Nelson Mandela was a shining star, a wonderful man. D.T. wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in his ugly face. I cannot understand that so many people are still so daft. I found the image of your former MiL on the title page of Which Witch?, a magazine I can only recommend. There could be many causes for your seeing less birds. Those terrible fires must have killed so many. Here there are less 🦋 butterflies this year, and sparrows have disappeared from the area completely. The Meisen are omnipresent, and then the blackbirds, pigeons, crows and ravens. And woodpeckers. Other birds are rare. Not a good sign! Heike is not well just now, I have been trying to look after her this week. Have a great day, hugs xxxxx

  13. That looks like a fun new challenge, and I love your tag. You also modified it in a fun way too. Halloween is a good theme for silhouettes. And the labeled woman meme is so true. It's easy to let people put us (all ladies) down. Have a super mid-week. hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika. Men and women need to respect each other, and not try to put others down. And we (women) have to stand up for our rights where it's necessary! Hugs!

  19. Hi, Valerie, hope you are doing well. Scary tag from your cauldron of goodies. You know, the problem with labelling and judging people and things is often that fools consider themselves wise and use insufficient info to make assumptions that are not in fact true. But they are the popular things to say. Happy week to you! XOX

    1. Thanks Aimeslee. You're so right, there are too many fools trying to be wise and too many wise being treated as fools. I wish you a happy week, too, take care, and hope it has cooled down for you. Hugs!
