T sTands for something or other

Hi Everybody!

Today I am sharing an A3 acrylic painting, once again with a vase and a cup/glass, made 2 weeks back. Once again I had fun playing with dots and circles - stamped with a paint pot lid, and just playing around. This is of course my ticket to Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday drink/link  party which will be beginning this evening. Not much bla-bla today, I fell twice at the weekend and am in a lot of pain:

And this is what my table looked like when I was finished. Actually, it did'nt look much different before I started on it - I need to do a little clean up:

And I love how my painting-water glass looks:

I deadheaded my balcony flowers and a few tiny pieces were too nice to thow away. The little glass they are in is one of the sherry glasses from my great Auntie Fanny:

From above:

And on the shelf:

Coffee on Saturday:

So sweet:

Egyptian cats:

Do they still treat us as gods?
Well, I sh*t in  a box nd then they clean it!
Very good!

Have a Happy T Day, Take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  5. Beautiful painting and I do like that painted glass in progress, lol. I know there has to be a story behind that. Now, did you go and over do on Saturday? I just hate that you fell and twice at that. So hoping the pain just goes back where it came from for you. For the first time, I'm having pain trying to sleep on my right side. That just leaves my left side and I need to switch so as not to get too stiff. I've been able to sleep pain-free up to now. Take care and take it easy, XOX

Sorry you are having pain sleeping on your right side. I always sleep on my left, I can't turn over, so now I'm a lefty! Hope you can sleep without pain again! Have a great day, hugs!

  6. I've had a few nasty little falls too. They really do shake you up and rob you of your confidence. I hope you feel better soon. I don't go outside now unless I use my. Rollator. I can't remember whether I've blogged about it or not now. If I haven't it's a topic I can consider isn't it?
I do like your great Aunt Fanny's sherry glasses. It's sad that things like that have fallen out of fashion, don't you think? I have a sideboard cupboard full of sherry and liqueur glasses. I don't want them anymore because I cannot drink. and yet I can't give them away because the charity shops don't take them because nobody wants them. By the way, my grandmother's name was Fanny.
I have been trying to sort out my desk too. It's still a work in progress. I do like your yellow and blue artwork Those two colours go together so lovely.
    feel better soonest. hugs. Deb.

    1. Hi Deb, falls are really nasty. But today I had a nice treat, went for a meal with Heike and we went both ways by taxi. It's a pity people don't value the old glass wear any more, it's so beautiful! I did give a joyful to a young lady when she got married and she loved them, she likes everything vintage! Fanny was an vogue back then! We could do some blog specials about rollators and walking sticks and toilet seat elevators, that would be something different! Have a great day, hugs!

  7. I'm so sorry you've had 2 falls and hopefully your pain will soon subside. An artist never has a clean work area but that's what art is all about. My desk is filled with papers and inks and scraps of papers, but that's just how art works. The only difference is, I don't take photos of mine LOL Your acrylic painting is beautiful with all the circles and colors and I'd just love a cup of that delicious looking coffee sitting on the table. Sending healing hugs your way for no more falls and quick healing!

    1. Oh yes, a clean work area would be something new!. That coffee in the cafe is always delicious, just a bit pricey. Have a great week, Carol. Take care! Hugs.

  8. Enough already with these falls. They are not good for your health, Valerie, and I hereby command you to stop doing it. I hope you can detect the stern inflexion in my voice and know that I am not fooling with this. Now as for your table, there is pleasant clutter, and there is creative disarray, there is even a hint of genius is a mess of bits and pieces, work in progress and puzzles for the mind - and then there is your table! That’s the kind of place you find long lost car keys from two cars ago, odd earrings, money even. I think it’s time for, at the very least, modest tidying up, at most an hour’s rental of a back hoe! The sherry glasses look very lovely with their companion flowers. If you can’t have sherry, why not put them to good use. We actually have a set of sherry glasses, not quite as lovely as yours I must say, but we do use them from time to time. For what purpose you might ask - to have a glass of sherry! My goal in life is to find a friend named Sheri and have a glass of sherry with Sheri. Maybe I’ll even find a woman named Port. A lady name Champagne would be really good! My recent desperate plea for bookmarks garnered not a one, I am sad to say. At one point businesses, festivals, quilt shows and the like seemed to have them as giveaways and promotional items, but that seems to have come to an end. I have actually started to remove some from books on the shelf to use in new books. How sad is that? I may have to start cutting up stuff to make my own, but I shudder at the thought of their ragged imperfection and lack of theme. Woe is me! Hugs and kisses, just don’t swoon at the thought of them and fall over! David

    1. Possessed don't shout at me like that. I will do my very best not to fall again! Okay, what you are trying to tell me through the flowers is that I need to clean my table....And just for a difference, I must tell you that you are right. Mea culpa, mea culpa. Spell checker tried to change mea culpa to Mrs cups....not bad, huh! I used to love using my sherry glasses to drink sherry, but it's totally out of fashion these days. we had a girl at school called Cherie Port, what a name. So kind of you to remind me about book marks, I will do my best! Have a great week, big hugs, Valerie

  11. Your latest piece is lovely Valerie. The yellow really pops off the blue background. It's just enough to break up to blue. And your kitchen table looks like my work table. Like my whole workspace in fact. I pick up a few things and I take out many more so at this rate it is never going to get clean- smile. I hope the aches and pains start to feel better, and your having a nice Monday. Happy early T day too. Hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika, glad you like my blue. It's been a blue week! It is hard to keep art spaces tidy. When I go to art group I have everything around me full, but there I must clear it away before I go home. 🏡 Home is always best!. And as I live alone, nobody sees my mess! Happy T Day, hugs!

I really LOVE that beautiful painting. Blue and yellow go so well together.

Nice to see your lovely dead headed flowers. You are right that they are too nice to be thrown away. That lovely vintage glass they are in is a real beauty.

Your funnies are adorable and very nicely cat related, too. Thanks for sharing your incredible art, your amazing art table, your coffee at the restaurant, and your wonderful funnies with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend. Hope you are resting and not in too much pain very soon.

Wonderful flowers too. However, the best funnie is the Roman road and todays road. That's how it is here. The patch work is worse that the pot holes. LOL Have a great day today.

Hope you feel better soon, hugs, Chrisx
