Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, have a great one!

I had a very busy week again, and am looking forward to a restful weekend. For Matilde's numbers challenge at AJJ I have a double page journal spread which I placed on a purple background and added some numbers and the train ticket with lots of numbers.  I drew the face with water soluble crayons and 'moved' the colour with some water. The flying birds were stencilled, the blackbird is a photo taken on my balcony many moons ago:

  6. The colour purple predominates today, Valerie, so I expect that you are composing purple prose for your next post. On and on you will go, no doubt entrancing all of us with the vivid creations of your fertile imagination. The blackbird perching on the ticket is quite symbolic it seems to me, since birds have always been my ticket to happiness, even since I was just a little boy. Today, I was scheduled to lead a walk, when we would have found many birds and had lively discussions, but the weather is uncooperative and there are thunder storms with potential intense lightening, so we have little choice but to defer it to another day. Now, if I could get Donald Trump to join the group and wear a metal helmet, I'd do it today with gusto! That would lift his orange toupée. Instead, Miriam has decided that we should empty a closet, clean it out, get rid of most of the accumulated junk that is in there, and organize it for items from her sewing room. Such is the nature of my day! Hugs and kisses to you and Heike - David

    1. Yes, I was feeling rather purple 💜 today! It's a lovely colour but I wouldn't want to wear it! Sorry the naughty storms stopped your walk, but I'm sure you will enjoy cleaning out a closet with Miriam!. Perhaps you could then pop over to my place and tidy my closets! I visited Heike this afternoon and set up her new telephone for her. I hope it will work! Hugs, Valerie xxxxx

  19. Such a lovely face rendered in purple, Valerie! And I loved the purple flowers and was delighted to see my favorite flower, the lilac. I never tire of taking photos of my sky or seeing others' skyscapes, and I'm delighted you share yours. The Popeye graffiti is hilarious!

  22. All your photos are lovely and the flower ones are so pretty especially the purple ones. They really have some wonderful depth of colour to them.
I do like your face and how you have used the colour and moved it around. There is something about tone on tone that I particularly like. The birds provide a great contrast to everything else.
    Hope you are well.
    Hugs, Neet xx
