Hi Everybody!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and let's hope we all have a good week.
Today I have a journal page for Matilde's numbers challenge at AJJ. The girl standing in the middle of the photo is my mother
For Wendy'a circles challenge at Tag Tuesday I have a (lazy) tag made from the top of a laughing cow cheese packet. I trimmed the circle, brushed the edges with red distress ink and added some baker's twine - done! It's too hot here to do anything!
And as we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party this evening, here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who stop by here. Help yourself to whatever you want!
And some thinkies / funnies:
Have GREAT day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
The weekend whizzed by! We celebrated Fathers Day on Sunday which was lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like your art and tags, great photographs too.
Great thinkies and funnies.
Wishing you a good new week.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, have a good week!

ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings
Thanks Veronica, hugs!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! Love your art and photos again, and the funnies are good, too. The tag with the ladies in the car reminds me of us back when! Have a good start in the new week! Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, hugs to all!
DeleteWe’ll done as always, Valerie. I can see that your Mom was a naughty girl, just like you, standing with her back to the teacher! Perhaps it’s because she already absorbed all the lessons and no longer needed to pay attention. Coffee is the star of this post, but of course it’s such a vital component in the life of any sentient individual so that’s not a surprise. I am sipping one now even as I type this message. You will doubtless be happy to learn that my iPad woes have been fixed. I called my friend, Paul Bigelow, and he came over, and within ten minutes he had it fixed. Such a great guy! Apparently my third party cookies were not being accepted. And here was I thinking that cookies were something to eat. I am quite sure that Miriam made oatmeal cookies a while ago and they weren’t even for a third party. It is a strange world we inhabit, Valerie. Birds are easy when compared with cookies and pixels and bytes and mega this and that. Oy vay! My poor ancient brain can only absorb so much. What it does know is to send you hugs and kisses, and some to share with Heike. If I ever I come to Germany and get caught up on the real thing we’ll all be smooching for a week!
ReplyDeleteYes, my mum was really a naughty girl! If course, I was good! Coffee is always the star. This morning Heike and I sat in front of the bakery for 2 hours, drinking coffee and people watching, fun! So glad your friend was able to fix your iPad. I have just been eating oatmeal cookies, but no third party, I ate them all myself. That's the best way! Oh yez, when I have time I will feel sorry for your poor, rusty brain, hah! Oh yes, we could have fun together. Big hugs! Xxxxx
DeleteYour school page is perfect for Matilde's challenge. What a brilliant idea for numbers. And I like your tag too. I'm hoping when I get home from work at lunchtime today I can spend the afternoon in my happy place and get one made. This weekend just got away from me. And so many great T day drinks too. And no yummy treats to eat? That's good because otherwise I would start drooling-smile. Happy new week to you Valerie, and happy T day too.Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteToo much cake is not good! The weekend here just slipped by, too! You have great week, too, dear Erika, have fun and happy T Day! Hugs!
DeleteA great array of fun tags and I especially like how you used your mom's photo in the school page! After all those wonderful photos of coffee delights, I must run and make myself a cup now too. Have a great week ahead
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. When I read about coffee I need to drink one, too! Have a great week, hugs!
DeleteYour mother’s photo is very intriguing. I’d love to know about her at that age — when, where, what did she do? Was she already in England or was that later?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
My mother was born and grew up in Jewish East London, right next to the docks, where I was born, too. My mum told me that she hated her knitted dress, her grandmother knitted one for her every year for passover!
DeleteYour mother is adorable and fits perfectly in that scene. So nice that you have pictures of your mother when she was little. I love the ladies doing a road trip for coffee/tea. Send the heat this way. It's been cool and rainy, and doesn't feel like Summer at all. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you the heat! Have a great week, hugs!
Deletemmm coffee:D
ReplyDeleteYessssss!
DeleteI like those cold drinks on a hot summer day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! Hugs
DeleteJak zawsze jestem zachwycona twoimi pracami. Ta z twoją mamą jes super. Pomysł z wykorzystaniem gotowego obrazka z uśmiechniętą krową też bardzo mi sìę podoba. Dobrego nowego tygodnia życzę😊😊😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Lucyna, have a wonderful week! Hugs, Valerie
DeleteFantastic art and another great post Valerie!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week x
Thanks, hugs!
DeleteHi Valerie, nice photo of your mum. I have so many tags from things I've bought and really need to find some use for them. Some of them are so nice I just can't bin them. The coffees look good too, might just have to make one when I've done here. Have a good week, hugs Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteSame here, I'm trying to use up things! Hugs!
DeleteFabulous journal page and love the added pic of your Mum-had my coffee earlier now on the red wine lol
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Lucky you, I mustn't drink alcohol!
DeleteSuch a cute piece with your mom in it:) Stay cool.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sandra sandracox.blogspot.com
Thanks, hugs!
DeleteWhat wonderful pieces today Valerie. Your mum looks so cute and I love your Thelma and Louise tag, I'm glad your computer is behaving itself - mine is really slow now, I just keep running a cleaning programme and hoping for the best! Take care and have a fun week, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteI do the same, I need to start looking at new ones! Hugs!
DeleteLove all your drink photos! Now if I can remember what I liked. Loved the mailbox toaster oven! LOL Loved the lets go somewhere together tag. So much to see and like. Great post. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteJust try everything! Hugs!
DeleteWhat an awesome entry for Matilde's theme at AJJ. It is quite different and I like that you included your mother in the entry, too. Thanks for sharing this beauty, dear Valerie.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at that tag. It was so creative, especially since it is so hot there. I wish I could send you my air conditioning.
Loved some of your thinkies and funnies. Really loved Bear and Rabbit. But the best funny was the toaster oven. I can attest to that, too!
I am in awe of all those drinks you gave us this week. I am in love with coffee, but I would gladly take it cold right now, since it's hot here, too. I really was delighted to read you and Heike had a good people watching day at the cafe. That is always fun.
Thanks for sharing your art, your tag, your thinkies and funnies, and your many drinks you gave us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.
I would soooo love air conditioning, sigh! Hugs!
DeleteHappy T-day, Valerie!!! Love the numbers page - the color and images are fun but the picture of your Mom is awesome. Super special. Love the laughing cow tag too - recycling at its best. The tag would be fun with a little gift of cheese and crackers. Love all the coffee and dessert pictures. You always find the best images. Had to laugh about the mailbox being a toaster oven and then I stopped laughing as a bird has built a nest in ours as we can't keep the door to it closed most the time (needs some sealant of something). Fun post. Hugz
ReplyDeleteThanks NANCY! Glad you liked seeing my Mom there, she fitted so well! Happy T Day, hugs!
DeleteThis is a fabulous post. I love your numbers art. Ohhhh I wish we had heat here. It only go up to 53°F today. Burrr....
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you some heat! Hugs!
DeleteSo lovely that you included your mom on your page and I was happy to also see the blackbird on top of the blackboard (I wonder what it's doing there???). My daughter told me that it is so hot in Germany - she should be used to the heat as someone who grew up in California, but she says it's so much more humid than in CA. Oh yes, I remember the humidity, and I don't miss it. I hope that temperatures will drop to a more comfortable level. Happy T Day, Valerie!
ReplyDeleteI love my blackbird, and it appears in a lot of my creations! Hugs!
DeleteWow! What an extravaganza
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia!
25° klingt guuuut! Dire eine schöne Woche, hugs!
DeleteHi Valerie, Great reading and photos of tasty cakes, a lovely piece of artwork especially that you included the lovely photo of your Mum.
ReplyDeleteLove the funnies, can't pick a favourite one, I like the tag we had cheese in round boxes with the cows face, triangle cheeses if I remember
Happy T Day Jan S
That's right, triangle cheeses, and occasionally I buy myself a box for old times' sake!
DeleteDelightful post. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ashok!
DeleteAs you know, I love creativity and simplicity, even though my art is anything but. Great tag. The sweets images are a temptation. Unfortunately, I am borderline diabetic so even my coffee is black. Your funny bone tingles the same as mine. love the toons. The weather here is fickle. Hot, cool, spotty rain and bone dry. It can't seem to make up its mind what to do.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
Thanks Jim! Hugs!
DeleteHi, Valerie! Hope you are managing to stay cool!
ReplyDeleteOh, what an adorable schoolroom with your mom center stage! Love it and your tags. There's already a tropical storm Bret headed for the Caribbean but it's supposed to peter out before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. Sure wish I could trust that! Sheesh! XXO
Thanks Aimeslee. It's very hot here, and no air con! Glad you like the schoolroom with my mom. Stay well and safe, sending hugs and prayers! Hugs, Valerie
DeleteThe Laughing Cow. What a fun idea for a tag:)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sandra sandracox.blogspot.com
Thanks, I'm laughing now! Hugs.
DeleteGorgeous page with your Mum in the front there Valerie, if I was there, I would have been over in the corner with my back to the class, ha ha ha, I was a rebel..
ReplyDeleteLuv CHRISSYxx
Thanks Chrissy, same here! I always managed to annoy my teacher!
DeleteI love all your coffee art and also the laughing cow. Good idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the coffee. There was plenty to choose from.happy T Day, Hugs,
Lisca
Thanks Lisca! Hugs!
DeleteGreat art and funnies. I hope the heat is not getting you down, hugs Wendy
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy. The heat makes me feel bad!
DeleteThat is a great journal piece. I love the mix of the cartoon figures and the photo of your mother. Such a great subject too - a school setting!
ReplyDeleteI was addicted to Laughing Cow cheeses at one time, have now moved on but your tag is truly inspired art.
Great funnies, poor Marj and the heat - feels like me right now.
Hugs, Neet xx
Oh yes, I spent most of my life at school! I am not a friend of this heat at all. Have a great weekend! Hugs!
DeleteYour tag brought so many memories rushing back Valerie. We used to have a cheese box like that called Diary Lee Cheese triangles!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your page and your lazy cow tag lol. How nice to include your mum on your page too. Sorry for my lateness, I've been out all week. Happy belated T Day Elle/EOTC xx
