  1. That is a beautiful door view. And yes, the Helen Keller quote is so true, isn't it? And your butterfly page feels tropical and wouldn't that be welcome right now? It hasn't been too cold here, but it is cold enough that I just let the dogs out and it is lightly snowing. And I just got the ice cleared off the deck today. Smile. And Lucy's comment is so true. Its so frustrating some times. Sorry to hear you are back in the clinic, but hopefully they'll be able to help. take care of yourself please. Hugs-Erika

  8. Hi Valerie: I am sure that the clinic is the best place for you to be, but I wish you didn't have to be there. That would be mean that you were healthy and carefree, able to go wherever you you want, get yourself over to London perhaps to revisit the places of your childhood, eat cream buns and drink coffee. The mere fact that you are in the clinic means that restrictions are imposed on you and of course you are only there because you need medical attention. What it means for me to go on like this I am not sure; I know that it makes me sad, however, to see a free spirit confined. It brings to mind a beautiful bird imprisoned in a tiny cage, singing forlornly and yearning for freedom. Be as well as you can my lovely, dear friend. I will be thinking of you. Hugs and kisses. David

    1. Thanks David. The clinic is a lovely place to be, an old villa set in beautiful gardens, but of course there are restrictions and lots examinations, needles being stuck into me and blood drawn etc, but I feel well here in spite of it all. I have a large and sunny room - well, at least when the sun shines! The food is good, and the coffee automat makes wonderful cappuccino. I'm trying to see it all positively! Have a happy new year, all the best to you and Miriam! Hugs, Valerie

    1. Thanks Michelle! We use our fingers so much, and only realise how much we need them when something goes wrong. Take care, and hope to see you blogging more in the new year! Hugs!

  11. I love how you added the text to the sky - that's a great doorway and that Helen Keller quote is so true! I love the fantasy page too - very calming, as are those early morning photos. We seem to have rain everyday, not ALL day, but everywhere is very soggy.
I totally agree with Lucy - so many not wearing masks even though they are requested to!
Hope time is passing well in the clinic, Hugs, Chrisx

    1. Hi Chris, thanks a lot. Here it's gone from freezing cold to warm and wind and wet, very strange weather! I love he early morning time, too, so beautiful. Here I have a nice view of the garden from my window. Here I have had lots of examinations already, there'S always someone waiting with a needle! But this is a good place to be. Here we are all masked! Happy new year, stay safe and healthy.

  18. I read Erika's comment and was surprised you were back in the hospital/clinic. I know you will be safe there and get lots of great food and coffee, too.

Your entry for AJJ is wonderful. Helen Keller is a god person to quote and that door is fabulous. Your other journal page is quite quirky. When I saw it, I thought "controlled chaos."

Another who knows what she's talking about is Lucy. Cute, but true, too. I hope you have a safe and healthy New Year and a far better 2022 than we've had the last two.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth, I'm drinking coffee right now. I have a nice big room, and am being well treated. I told the doctor I was only here for the coffee! Good that she likes coffee, too! Controlled chaos, that's my life! But I even cleared off my work desk before I came her! Happy New Year! Hugs!
