Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!
It's still very cold, snowy and icy here, but the sky is blue and we have had some sunshine. And I have some good news - providing all goes well in the next days, I can go home on March 2nd!
Today I have a hybrid piece for my heavy metal challenge at AJJ:
Some more photos from last Sunday's outing to Schloss Kalkum:
And Happy Valentine's Day!
Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

DeleteGood advice, Valerie, never stop looking up........except when a flock of geese are flying overhead, that is.....or gulls! Your snowy scenes there could rival our own, and we are accustomed to winter's white. Several bloggers from The Netherlands have featured their winter landscapes and have commented that it is the first time in years that have seen conditions like this. I hope that everyone remembered where they stashed their long underwear! I was out for a while yesterday, and even though the air temperature was only minus 12, you could really feel the heat from the February sun, and in sheltered spots with the sun beating down, it was actually warm. Spring is not far off now! Enjoy the weekend. Maybe a secret Valentine will sneak into the clinic to see you! Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteThanks David, I will remember not to look up when the geese or gulls are singing their way past me! This is the worst snowfall in years, with arctic temperatures that are very unusual in Rhineland. I wish I had long underwear! But we have sunshine and blue skies and that's worth a lot! Next week we will get rain, and then the streets will be paved with ice. People are ice skating over the frozen flood water on the meadows along the Rhine! A secret Valentine would be nice, but I am not counting on it. Have a happy weekend, hugs to you both!
DeleteThat is fantastic news about going home. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that all goes well. Loving your heavy metal piece today also. That moon is very cool. Your winter views are pretty. We have the same snowy views, well the same snow in our views at least, not the same views. Have a great weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika! We all seem to have lots of ice and snow just now! Have a great weekend!
DeleteMarch 2nd can't come soon enough. Good luck and good healing, Valerie.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. If only the snow wasn't so cold and wet!
DeleteThe snow pictures are lovely, always enjoy seeing them - just not being in them. Unless you are a child of course, when sledding is fun and you don't feel the chapped legs until you go in the warmth.
ReplyDeleteSchloss Kalkum looks a lovely place to wander around, I love the aliens on the trunk of the tree.
Hugs, Neet x
