Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and our lovely Sandie is hosting. She has chosen 'a little bit of steampunk' as her theme, and I hope to see lots of you joining in. As always, the challenge runs for 2 weeks and tags of all formats are most welcome. Hope to see YOU there!
I made a hybrid tag using images from Serif and me:
And I digitally added the tag to a journal page and am linking to my heavy metal challenge at AJJ
And we saw lots of heavy metal while cruising through the industrial harbour in Duisburg:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I do like your tag and journal page ... an amazing link up to the photographs showing the industrial harbour.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Wishes.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, there was lots of rusty metal at the harbour.

DeleteHi Val, good morning! Hope you slept well. Love your beautiful Steampunk pieces. All is well here, take care of yourself. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Have a great day, stay safe!
DeleteWow, this is a beauty and so perfect for our industrial post! It has a great pairing and I love the masucline look to it - it looks like it was a wonderful day trip :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly! Enjoy your day!
DeleteYour steampunk tag looks quite splendid, Valerie, and fits in well with the theme. Your cruise up and down the river appears to have taken you to some heavy-duty industrial zones. The equipment in ports amazes me these days, especially the giant cranes and other specialized machinery for handling containers, which comprise most of the world's maritime traffic. I remember in Hong Kong it seemed to stretch forever, and you could hardly believe that so many containers existed in the world - and that was just one port! Enjoy the rest of the week. Spring is on the agenda very soon! Hugs and kisses, David.
ReplyDeleteThanks David! The harbour in Duisburg has been a site of heavy industry for many years. I haven't been to Hong Kong, but I can imagine it. I grew up by the London Docks, too, and socks and harbours make me feel at home! Spring is springing here, the birds are singing and we can sit outside again. Have a great day, take care, hugs to you and Miriam!

DeleteSteampunk is something I've never been good at creating. I'm SO glad you shared your tag so I could get some ideas. It's even better that you added it to a journal page so you could share it with us at Art Journal Journey. Wonderful entry, dear.
ReplyDeleteStill loving the industrial feel the river cruise took you and your friend on. Simply beautiful, since I'm so big on industrial, too.
Thanks. I love old, industrial places, so fascinating!
DeleteI like that gears piece and the perfect quote for it. The rusty-looking metal and the glittery piece provide great contrast, and I can almost feel the texture. Cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. That gives a great texture.
Deletei would like to dring beer in the pub... But in Poland pubs and restaurants are closed:(
ReplyDeleteThanks, let's hope we can soon go out again!
DeleteI am loving your take on steampunk Valerie! That is one brill tag. And yes, your photos with all the port metals ties in perfectly with the theme. You would love it over in in NI. We have lots of that at our Belfast port. Take care and get well soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Pinky! I'm sure I would love Belfast port, I grew up by the London Docks!
DeleteI really like the rusty gears in your first few photos and the words in both pieces, I think I am getting to enjoy Heavy Metal. I liked the big head beside the river - I wonder if it rusting too.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the industrial harbour and all the photos from the cruise are magnificent and so clear.
Thanks Sheila, I love rusty metal. I think that big head is scary! Take care!

ReplyDeleteThe snow here is still hanging around. It was upper 40's Far. yesterday and close to 50's presently. The snow is disappearing quickly. YAY. The mud and muck will so follow and hopefully the flowers are already coming up under the snow.
Hugs and Blessings
Jim
