To Everything there is a season

Hi Everybody!

We are having some grey and wet days here, but I still enjoy my walks even under an umbrella, and the rain will be a blessing for nature after  the long, hot and dry summer.

I have another tag for Tag Tuesday where Sandie has chosen autumn colours as her theme. I used a book page matted with various papers as background. The page was coloured with distress inks. The bird was die-cut from a piece of the paper I painted last week, and I used a mix of natural and textile embellishments. The quote is from Proverbs, chapter 3 v 1, 'To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven':

This canvas was made a couple of years back but fits well to the season. The image is from Gecko Galz, the leaves were painted, die-cut and folded to make them look 'real':

I am linking to Paint Party Friday and  the owls to Rain's Thursday art date

We had some beautiful sunrise scenes:

Loved these little toadstools:

From my umbrella walk this morning:

And this whatsApp pic really spoke to me:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Loved the sunrise scenes, a great combo of clouds and sunshine - darkness and light connected in their eternal fight! And the coffee quote is really something for you, great! Es ist ein bisschen schwer, die alte Schrift zu lesen. Wir haben das damals noch gelernt in der SChule.

  19. Great tag. And I love what you did with owl. I remember that piece. It is perfect for the season right now. And we have so many leaves down like that now since our rain/wind storm came through. Finally this morning the wind has died down but all day yesterday and last night it was so noisy. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika

  39. The tags keep getting better and better - love the autumn gatherings on this one, and they're just perfect against the book page background. Your canvas is full of the mystical beauty of autumn nights - with the owls, the symbol of wisdom taking centre stage in the beautiful dark blue night. What extraordinary skyscapes... and more fabulous fungi!
