Hope you all have a great week. I am getting my T post for Monday/Tuesday done early as I have a lot of appointments this week. Thanks to all who asked about my back, it is a little better, but still very painful, so I'm hoping the treatment helps.
For Sandie's 'autumn' challenge at Tag Tuesday I made a 10" tag which I sewed to some corrugated card. The image is from Gecko Galz, and one I use every autumn and sometimes in between, as I like it. I used my home-made stencil and smooth embossing paste for the diamonds, as well as the last of the crackle paste on some parts.The decorations were gathered in the fields and tied with a strip of linen at the top, and with the wire of the textile leaf at the bottom. The sentiment is from TH:

This evening it will be time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the T Gang Ladies. I did manage to drink quite a lot of coffee again at various places and in our ice parlour here:

I was very happy to get a beautiful envelope from Caty in Spain, with lots of gorgeous stamps outside and lots of beautiful goodies inside, including many hand-crafted and hand crocheted items. Thanks so much, Caty. The beautiful owl card is on display on my desk here, and I am looking forward to using all of the crafty goodies and napkins, thanks so much!
Yesterday got off to a beautiful start:
In the afternoon the last of the clouds moved away and it was warm and sunny, a truly golden October day. I walked to the Castle in Kalkum and enjoyed the glowing colours in the park and gardens. The pics were all taken with my cell-phone as I forgot my camera :(

I will show the rest of the pics in my next post, but I have just one more to show, something I saw on my Saturday walk through an old cemetery in Düsseldorf - what a place to park a scooter:

Please don't tell me I'm about to catch up. I love the photos you shared. They were so rich with the reds and yellows of autumn. These were beautiful shots showing that autumn has truly arrived in your part of the world.

I absolutely adore that tag. I love the sewing, which you do so well. It's wonderful. Wonderful use of the crackle paste and finding the nature inspired pieces in the fields around your home made it so special.

That one cup is so pretty! And your autumn photos just take my breath away, Valerie. We're still waiting for full color here but the cold and damp the past few days seem to have pushed things along. Still, nothing like what you've shared here. That dazzles!
ReplyDeleteThe tag is just beautiful. I like the way you use natural items in your work. Dazzling colors on your walk. Even the buildings seem to get into the Fall colors. I had to laugh at the picture of the scooter. Maybe that's the way ghosts get around now. Happy T Day

That is a gorgeous tag with lots of lovely texture. Just love it! The cuppa and waffle look good. :) Makes me hungry. Gorgeous Fall photos. It is not Fall here yet. Hope they can find the reason your back is sore Valerie. There is nothing worse than a toothache or a sore back I think. I love your autumn tag, The woman on it looks as though she is a autumn sprite. I didn't get any art time with daughter home this weekend so I am hoping to get to making a tag this week. As I sit and delight in your stunning tag and the beauty of her image and autumnal berries atop you then share magnificent snap shots along your walks. What splendor to see their firey warmth and colour, i'd have purchased many of them as post cards or prints Valerie. I feel we may have had too much rain to over the past couple of weeks for our trees to glow in this way but I live in hope..
