2nd on the 2nd

Hi Everybody!

Hope you day was good. Here it was mild and rainy, and I enjoyed walking along the Rhine in the soft rain, and watching the antics of the sheep grazing there.

Today it's Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd, where we re-show art which has been posted some time in the past. I have some pieces from 2016, made at about this time of year and with an autumnal theme. They were all hybrid pieces, made with hand-painted backgrounds and photos with some additional digital elements.

The lady represents the spirit of autumn smiling down at nature:

The idea here was similar:

Here I used one of 'my' heads with bird photos:

I went walking along the Rhine and saw these adorable sheep and lambs playing:

The video is just 15 seconds:

These pics were taken on Monday in Hofgarten:

If you haven't already done so, please take a peek at my previous post about Sandra's new book

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. Beautiful Autumn artwork. I'm glad you chose that as your Second on the 2nd post. (And seeing your post reminded me I need to figure out something to do for this.) I like your photos from the park, especially the ones of the Black Swans.

  7. I'm really certain I have seen the first one with the woman on the bench, and the last one with the head and birds, but I don't remember the middle one. They are all lovely, and definitely remind me of autumn. They are all so beautiful and show how skilled and talented you are. Thanks for sharing these with us as your second look on the 2nd.

Those lambs were sure frisky! But you know the black swans steal my heart every time I see one. They are SO different and I love it when you visit Hofgarten and photograph them.

  11. Oh these are great to see Valerie. They really celebrate autumn in a great way. I like how you added the girl on the bench so your drawn face is almost like an autumn nymph causing our seasons to change. I really enjoyed all the animal photos too. Happy playful sheep made me smile. Enjoy your Wednesday. Hugs-Erika

  12. Your artwork is lovely, as always, but I especially like the autumn fantasy one. Right now, that's all autumn is here... a fantasy. We're still breaking records for high temperatures. It was 95 degrees yesterday, and it's supposed to be even hotter today. But cooler weather is finally supposed to be headed our way next week. I'm ready! (Do you think a celebratory parade would be a tad too much...?)

Have a wonderful week, dear lady.

  21. Hello Val! There's nothing new on my blog today. I enjoyed your walking! I also liked your art a lot. So warm! I have a soft spot for hedgehogs but I have never seen one. That last post you saw on my blog it's a game. I will translate it for you because it's one you can play here with your visitors and it will be fun! I mean, if you want too! Just give me some time!

    1. Thanks. If you have time to translate it it would be great. But only when you have time, no stress!

  22. What beautiful Autumnal pieces Valerie, definitely worth a second look. Those lambs do seem to be having fun. We had to put the heating on today, Neil is not a happy bunny but it's him that was feeling the cold. I'm at that age where I never feel the cold lol. Take care, Sue xx

  31. Glorious autumn pages - so rich in colour and imagery - and well worth a second visit. The lambs are adorable... I always associate lambs with spring, but I guess these ones were late starters!
