The loom of life

Hi Everybody!

For Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva & Kristin,
I have an A3 doodled face worked on a gessoed BG.
I used Pitt pens and a Staedtler Lumocolor
permanent pen. I used some b/w washi tapes and a
red feather as embellishments. I am also linking to
Simon Monday Challenge, birds of a feather
and Simon Wednesday Challenge, add a sentiment:

The photos are from this day one year ago.

Thanks to those who sent well wishes. My cough is
slowly getting better. Nights are still bad, but
I am hopeful to be 'back to normal' -
whatever that might be - ASAP.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. I am incredibly impressed with the woman and your doodles. The doodles are simply stunning. I wasn't sure if it was a hat or her hair, but I loved it all, including the feathers and the washi tape.

AH. It's been awhile since I saw that rusty statue. I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Hope you are warm and staying out of the bad weather.

  8. Nice page today Valerie. The red feather really pops. It always surprises me how much red pops off of a black and white page when I see it, even though I know it will pop. Nice zentangle on her hair. She has stars in her eyes so there's something she's dreaming of. Hmmm. Wonder what that is. :) Happy weekend. Hope you have a few flowers on your deck still, as weird as that is in January. It gives hope of spring. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika

  11. Your black and white page is striking with the red feather and the lady's bright, green eye. Love all the doodles in her hair that pair with the quote.

Was it warmer in the photos from last year? I thought the scenery looked warmer. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. And then I saw the hat. A lost item or left for someone to take if they are cold? Feel better and have a great weekend.

  22. First off, I hope you get well soon. (Perhaps a smoke enema would help...?)

I looked at your other posts from this week, but will only comment here. (Such a lazy slug!) Your artwork is all beautiful, as usual. I think my favorite one was about looking toward the light and the shadows will be behind you. Both the image and the words appealed to me.

Wow! Howcum your sunrises are so much more colorful than ours??? Absolutely gorgeous. And I'm a teensy bit jealous you still have marigolds in bud. Too darned cold here this winter!

    Have a super weekend.

    1. I think it has to do with the airport and pollution in the air which evidently influences the colours.

  37. Boy, that's hung in there. Nights are so terrible with a cough; I know too well, so I hope you are getting as much sleep and rest as possible, anytime you need it, day or night, sitting up or laying down. I love the simple colors here -- black and red and green and white. SO striking.
