T stands for Anything Goes

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are staring a new challenge at

***Anything Goes***
This time there will be a prize  of a surprise
package of crafty goodies for one
lucky winner, whose name will be pulled out of the
proverbial hat. As always, you have 2 weeks to get your
creative juices flowing and to link your tag to us,
so I am looking forward to seeing what you make!
I made a quick and simple tag using
DP for the background, sewed onto some recycled
card matting. Some coordinating feathers
were then added. Tags  can be quick and simple
to make!  I am also linking to Simon
Wednesday Challenge, use patterned paper and to
Simon Monday Challenge, birds of a feather.

Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so I would
like to welcome all of the nice ladies of the
T Gang.
Today I made a coffee journal page:

And it is half time at TIOT, where our theme this
time is 'My favourite things', so you still have
a week to link your creation to us.

We have had some sunny but colder weather these past
couple of days, and it was good to see blue skies again:

My marigolds are still flowering:

I took a few photos in 'town' on my way to the doctor's today.
My cough is still very troublesome and does not want
to leave me and go somewhere else....I am resting a lot
and spending time reading and watching TV, mostly
murder and mayhem.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  4. I'm glad you took your camera on your trip to town -- I'm just sorry you had to make it because the cough is still there. I can relate and boy, do I get it, but no fun. Enjoy the telly/movies and murder and mayhem!

  5. As always what wonderful photos. Mother Nature certainly paints us lovely pictures in the sky doesn't she, Val?
OMG, coffee blood type. Is that perfect or what?
I love the sentiment and serenity of the first. It reminds me of dreamcatchers.
YOU, take care of yourself and don't let that nasty cough get the better of you.
    Hugs,

  6. Love the feathers on the tag.Like Sandra said reminds one of dreamcatchers. The coffee quote would fit my Eldest. :-D Love the architecture of your town hall. So nice to see blue skies and flowers. I can't believe your marigolds are still blooming. Take care, rest up, make art, and watch those murder mysteries. Have you seen Father Brown with Mark Williams?

The Coffee page is brilliant, if your Blood type is coffee, mine must be tea.

  14. I can empathize with you on the cough. I had to go out today for cat litter for the boys, and when I got home, I couldn't stop coughing. I hope those antibiotics kick in very, very soon.

Your feather tag is lovely. It's too cold to sew in my craft room right now, so I will simply enjoy your beautiful tag instead.

Your photos are wonderful. The architecture, some of which is new to me, always makes me smile. And those flowers are so lovely making it appear that spring will come soon. I especially liked the horse flag.

I'm into mysteries and mayhem, too. In fact, I binged on mysteries yesterday when I should have been making art. Like you and CJ, I love Father Brown, but I love Midsomer Murders even more. I've seen all 19 seasons and look forward to season 20, which had originally been promised in 2017.

But most of all, I LOVE your coffee page. My blood type is coffee, too. I know we speak the same language there. It's a great page, and worthy of a second look. Thanks for sharing it with us for T this Tuesday. BTW, it snowed today and wind chills right now are -11 F.

  20. An entertaining post, as usual. I have always loved feathers since I was a little-lad. Love the blood-type ... I shall plagiarise it for, 'Assam Tea is my Blood Group'.

Darn that cough!!I am wishing real hard that it leaves you! I know what a lingering cough is like, last years was 3 months long for me- it really sucks!

Your tag is so beautiful! I love the combination of feathers you used and the dimension of the elements!

  26. I'm sorry to hear you are still coughing. I am in the same poosition. This bug is not shifting.
I don't have tv, but when we lived in the UK I used to watch (and enjoy) Midsummer Murders. I also liked Lewis.
I love your coffee page. And the tag is lovely. I love working with Kraft paper/card. I'm just about to order some on the internet as I haven't found any here yet.
I enjoyed the photos from your town. I have seen so many photos, now I recognise the buildings as if I had lived there for years.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  27. Coffee as blood type is appealing as I get another cuppa. Nothing is still in bloom here. I tend towards murder and mayhem myself. I see from the comments that you like Father Brown and Midsomer Murders. I love finding mystery series and re-watching old ones. Frost and Morse (and Lewis and Endeavor) and Cadfael and Poirot and..... :) Happy T Tuesday

  29. I love your beautiful tag! I have a few feather stamps - don't use them much so you have inspired me to get them out again! Your coffee page made me laugh - there really is nothing as good to drink as a cup of coffee! I do hope your cough decides to 'up and off' soon - glad you are getting some rest with your murder and mayhem! Hubby is big Father Brown fan while I prefer Morse and Lewis. At the moment though we are watching the new series of Silent Witness. I loved seeing your town again and the Spring flowers outside the florists. Take Care! Happy T Day! Chrisx

Love the tags!!!! You had me with feathers.... but blue feathers just pushed me on over the edge ♥
It's still cold here today but a warm up is supposed to happen starting tomorrow. It's the ups and downs that makes everyone feel so bad.

  39. Sorry to be so late getting around, Valerie. We've had terrible & intermittant internet for a couple of days - often less than 1 megabyte download!

I have a new favorite tag by you. I love the feathers one with real feathers on top of stamped (I'm guessing) and colored ones. Your (hand drawn & painted?) coffee page is very cute too.

I hope your cough clears up soon. It sure has been hanging on a while. Drink lots of tea ;-)

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
